The Position

The People Support Solutions (PSS) department brings its purpose to life by providing our colleagues worldwide with integrated HR solutions tailored to their needs. We are a team that works very closely together to ensure good employee relations, anticipate our customers' future needs, and proactively develop solutions.

The Opportunity:

Please note it is a fixed term opportunity until 31/12/2027.

As an Employee Lifecycle Management (ELM) Senior Specialist, you will be a key player in ensuring that the Roche People Practices work seamlessly for the business. You won’t just manage data; you will act as a strategic partner and advisor, ensuring the end-to-end HR lifecycle—from onboarding to movement and departures—is executed with excellence and a customer-first mindset.

You will provide expert guidance on global HR systems (Workday) and processes, ensuring that every administrative action is aligned with our downstream functions like Payroll, Finance, and IT.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service Delivery Excellence: Execute high-impact system data maintenance and administrative activities across the entire employee lifecycle (Recruiting, Onboarding, Movements, Compensation, and Terminations).

  • Strategic Advisory: Act as a "Superuser" and Consultant for HR and Business Partners, advising them on global HR systems and helping embed new ways of working.

  • Knowledge Leadership: Own and develop process documentation (SWIs, SOPs), and provide high-level guidance and training to first-level support teams and newcomers.

  • Continuous Improvement: Lead and participate in project activities, analyzing interactions to identify and implement service enhancements and efficiency gains.

  • Stakeholder Partnership: Build and manage key relationships across the Global HR Support Solutions network to ensure consistent, reliable, and high-quality service delivery.

  • Data Integrity & Compliance: Maintain high standards of data privacy and regulatory compliance, ensuring all operations meet defined KPIs and SLAs.

Who You Are

You are a solution-oriented professional who thrives in fast-paced, matrix environments. You enjoy navigating complex data structures and have the "big picture" understanding to see how a single data point impacts the entire organization.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience: experience in HR Services or a Shared Service Center (SSC) environment.

  • System Mastery: Proven experience with Workday HR processes and a strong proficiency in the Google Suite.

  • Technical Expertise: Broad understanding of global HR processes and their downstream impacts on Payroll, Time, Benefits, and IT.

  • Communication: Fluent in English and German (written and spoken).

  • Growth Mindset: You are comfortable with ambiguity, seek learning opportunities, and are proactive in giving and receiving feedback.

  • Education: University degree (preferably in HR or a related field).

In Exchange we provide you with:

  • Development opportunities: Roche is rich in learning resources. We provide constant development opportunities, free language courses & training, the possibility of international assignments, internal position changes and the chance to shape your own career.

  • Excellent benefits: Competitive salary and cafeteria package, annual bonus, Private Medical Services, Employee Assistance Program, All You Can Move Sportpass, coaching / mentoring opportunity, buddy program, team buildings, holiday party.

  • Flexibility: We also support flexibility to help you find your balance. Home office is commonly available (typically 2 office days/week on average). We create the opportunity for freedom in working, where your corporate and private life coexist in harmony.

  • A global inclusive community, where we learn from each other. At Roche, we cooperate, debate, make decisions, celebrate successes and have fun as a team. Our leadership is very focused on people, creating a strong, inclusive culture, so you always have the chance to share your opinion.
