Job Description Summary
The Senior Analyst – Payer MDM will support the strategy, governance, and operational execution of the Payer Master Data Management (MDM) platform. The role works closely with Product Owners, Payer Data SMEs, and cross‑functional partners to ensure accurate, reliable, and high‑quality mastering of payer, plan, PBM, and commercial healthcare datasets. The Senior Analyst contributes to maintaining standards, supporting stewardship processes, resolving data issues, and driving continuous improvements across data quality and operational workflows.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Support Payer MDM strategy and ensure alignment with business priorities and stakeholder expectations.
Assist in establishing governance, standards, and best practices across payer, plan, PBM, HUB, SP, and claims data domains.
Participate in reviewing deliverables, supporting team processes, and contributing to a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Work with stewardship teams to manage curation workflows, exception handling, and data quality processes.
Support establishment of MDM data stewardship operating model, including stewardship roles/responsibilities, workflows, and escalation paths.
Define, implement, and monitor data quality rules, thresholds, dashboards, and remediation workflows to improve payer master data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
Partner with product and technical teams to configure and maintain Reltio for Payer MDM (data model, match/merge rules, survivorship, hierarchies, validation, and workflows) aligned to business requirements.
Translate payer business rules into standardized operational logic and ensure consistency across stakeholders.
Collaborate with SMEs and external vendors to resolve data discrepancies and maintain adherence to quality expectations.
Assist in strengthening data quality frameworks, monitoring, validation, and alerting mechanisms.
Contribute to process optimization, operational efficiency, and proactive issue identification.
Perform data profiling, completeness checks, and root‑cause analysis to support remediation efforts.
Analyze payer/plan/PBM attributes to support matching logic, hierarchy validation, and transformation requirements.
Ensure reliable support for downstream data consumers by maintaining consistency in mastered data delivery and stewardship practices.
Essential Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
4-6 years of hands-on experience with Master Data Management (MDM) platforms and concepts (e.g., data modeling, match/merge, survivorship, hierarchies, stewardship workflows).
Must have strong data profiling skills using SQL on Snowflake to analyze source data, identify anomalies, and support data quality and mastering requirements.
Good understanding of payer/plan/PBM concepts.
Understanding and practical experience with Agentic AI and Generative AI, and ability to leverage them in MDM initiatives (e.g., stewardship support, data quality monitoring, matching/curation acceleration, and operational automation).
ELT/ETL development experience is good to have. Snowflake, SQL, Python, and orchestration tools are good to have (Airflow, ADF, etc.).
