About the role:
We are looking for a seasoned Area Sales Manager to lead the entire Area Team in Nowshera and ensure all Sales agendas, including primary and secondary sales (VOL & VAL) objectives are achieved. The incumbent will also build robust business plans, capturing local insights and future sales potential, based on meticulous scanning of the ever-changing retail landscape .
Responsibilities:
1. Market, Channel & RTM Excellence
- Know the geography, market, and competition
- Know the channel play and RTM architecture and key I&Os
- Ensure implementation of RTM action plans in the area
- Suggest geography & channels teams on smart improvement plans (promo, in‑store, retailer sentiment, shopper feedback, differentiated initiatives)
2. Business Planning, Volume & Category Strategy
- Responsible for VOL delivery with reliable short‑term forecast inputs
- Sets & advises on territory‑wise target splits; monitors performance and initiates corrective actions
- Manage category‑wise / brand‑wise / SKU‑wise volume delivery aligned with channel & geography strategy
- Ensure healthy OTC & FMCG category business mix aligned with national strategy
- Manage GT / business segment growth in line with national strategy (e.g., WS vs Retail)
3. Operational & Distribution Management
- Possess first‑hand grip over operational disciplines (market footwork, distribution ops, systems, customer handling, team leadership)
- Hygiene control: ensure SOP compliance across team, trade & distribution with back checks
- Primary stock management
- Maintain professional day‑to‑day distributor operations at area level
4. Customer, Financials & Stakeholder Management
- Drive JBP and distributor financials efficiently and smartly
- Oversee & report on JBP locked measures for respective channels
- Lead all customer negotiations at area level for win‑win outcomes
- Lead stakeholder management with Channels, Supply Chain, Commex, ROM and third‑party vendors
- Provide timely business progression updates and customer‑level challenges to Regional Team (SM/ROM)
5. People Leadership, Execution & Governance
- Effectively lead TMs and frontline teams to deliver results
- Lead, implement & execute all launches, re‑launches and promotions at area stores
- Oversee and report in‑store implementation in coordination with merchandising team
- Analytics in practice: daily, weekly & monthly monitoring tools for performance evaluation
Your profile:
- Bachelors degree preferably in Sales, Marketing and/or Business Development
- 4-5 years of relevant sales experience
- Solid Customer Relationship Management & Negotiation Skills
- Proven business acumen and market orientation
