Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicines is recruiting for a Senior Scientist, Scientific Integrator, located in Beerse, Belgium.
Within the Chemical Process Research and Development (CPRD) department, the Scientific Integrator – Small Molecules plays a key role in the integrated development of small molecule active pharmaceutical ingredients. The Scientific Integrator represents CPRD in CMC teams and collaborates closely with internal and external partners to ensure robust, science‑based process development across the portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:
Serve as a scientific integrator within CPRD, collaborating with process chemists, analysts, engineers, and external partners to support the development of scalable and robust processes.
Coordinate and align cross‑functional scientific input to ensure a coherent technical approach.
Represent our department in CMC teams, contributing to discussions, decision making, and alignment across functions.
Support definition and tracking of project priorities, milestones, and timelines in alignment with program objectives.
Communicate project progress, risks, and opportunities to relevant partners, including project teams, CMC teams, and management.
Contribute to the preparation, review, and consolidation of technical documentation for internal use and regulatory submissions.
Review scientific documentation prepared by team members and provide constructive feedback.
Promote effective collaboration and knowledge sharing across teams.
Qualifications
Education:
PhD in Chemistry or a related field, with a strong foundation in chemical process development.
Experience and Skills:
Required:
Demonstrated experience in small molecule API process development within a pharmaceutical environment.
Experience working in cross‑functional teams.
Ability to integrate and synthesize input from multiple scientific fields.
Solid understanding of process scale‑up and manufacturing principles.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to balance attention to detail with pragmatic decision making in a multifaceted environment.
Preferred:
Able to implement artificial intelligence as tool to improve our way of working

Proficient in English
