We are searching for the best talent for Commercial Education Specialist (CommEd Specialist) based in Mexico City.

Purpose:

The Commercial Education Specialist is responsible for the regional design, planning, execution, and governance of commercial education initiatives across Cluster/LATAM within their area of expertise. This role ensures that educational strategies, content, and training execution are aligned with global and regional priorities, support the commercial organization, and enable the safe and effective use of J&J products and future portfolio.

The role reports directly to the Regional Education Manager LATAM and works in close partnership with Commercial, Field Training, and Functional teams.

You will be responsible for:

1. Team Integration & Organizational Collaboration

  • Act as a core member of the LATAM Commercial Education team within Global Education Solutions.

  • Partner closely with the commercial organization and Field Trainers (FSTs) to support field training and ensure effective knowledge transfer.

  • Serve as a regional point of contact for specialty- and platform-related education initiatives.

2. Education Strategy Development & Execution

  • Develop and implement regional education strategies within the assigned area of expertise.

  • Ensure alignment between local specialty/platform plans and regional/global strategies.

  • Execute education plans in accordance with regional prioritization, segmentation strategies, and local execution models.

  • Anticipate future portfolio needs and integrate them into education planning.

3. Education Planning, Learning Journeys & Communication

  • Design, update, and communicate the regional specialty education plan, including training offerings and key milestones.

  • Align all education initiatives with learning journeys by specialty, following JJU concepts and platform requirements.

  • Define and manage the regional education calendar, ensuring visibility and alignment with local clusters and key stakeholders.

4. Program Coordination & System Governance

  • Lead regional education planning and coordination using approved J&J systems and platforms (e.g., Cvent, SUMMIT, Axonify, and others as required).

  • Ensure process consistency, data quality, and system alignment across all educational activities.

  • Serve as the regional owner of education-related workflows within these systems.

5. Educational Content Development & Approval Management

  • Design, adapt, update, and maintain education content, both independently and in collaboration with Faculty and Field Sales Trainers.

  • Ensure that all educational materials go through mandatory review and approval processes, including Copy Review and clearance, in full compliance with internal requirements.

  • Maintain content relevance, scientific accuracy, and alignment with current portfolio and clinical practices.

6. Training Methodology & Learning Design Expertise

  • Apply and continuously develop expertise in multiple training methodologies, including:

    • Face-to-face (F2F)

    • Virtual and hybrid formats

    • Gamified learning

    • Hands-on and simulation-based training

    • Role-play and experiential learning

  • Select and deploy the most effective methodology based on learning objectives, audience, and business needs.

7. Regional Event Management & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Lead the end-to-end execution of regional education events, from planning through delivery and post-event evaluation.

  • Coordinate and align participation of local cluster education teams, franchise representatives, and functional partners.

  • Leverage and coordinate local specialists and FSTs to support execution, especially during large regional or key local events.

8. Standards Definition, Data Quality & Performance Reporting

  • Define and deploy minimum proficiency and execution standards for local education teams, including:

    • KPIs

    • Participant selection criteria

    • Knowledge and performance assessments

    • Satisfaction surveys

  • Ensure alignment with learning journeys, LMS platforms (SUMMIT, AXONIFY, etc.), and commercial processes.

  • Guarantee timely and high-quality data entry in all J&J systems.

  • Analyze KPIs, generate reports, and adjust education plans based on insights and performance outcomes.

9. Budget Planning & Financial Stewardship

  • Plan, monitor, control, and report TnE, Opex, and education budgets at both regional and local levels.

  • Ensure appropriate budget allocation by specialty and platform, in compliance with financial and policy requirements.

10. Policy Compliance & Program Approval

  • Partner with functional stakeholders to ensure all education programs are designed, approved, and executed in full compliance with internal J&J policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

  • Act as a regional compliance gatekeeper for commercial education activities.

11. Regional Representation & Strategic Influence

  • Represent LATAM within Global Specialty and Platform Commercial Education forums.

  • Provide input and advocacy to ensure regional needs are reflected in global strategies, initiatives, and educational models.

12. Faculty & Field Sales Trainer (FST) Management

  • Develop, manage, and deploy faculty and FSTs by specialty, event, and platform.

  • Clearly define faculty and FST roles, responsibilities, and expectations per program.

  • Design and deliver Train-the-Trainer sessions.

  • Ensure all faculty and FST activities comply with J&J policies.

13. FST Network Development & Field Enablement

  • Build, maintain, and strengthen the FST/CST network across LATAM.

  • Provide ongoing training, coaching, and follow-up support for both classroom-based and field-based training activities.

  • Ensure consistency, quality, and impact of training delivery in the field.

14. Technology Training & Innovation Support

  • Deploy new technology-related training to Field Trainers.

  • Support the implementation of emerging educational technologies and act as a strategic partner during adoption and rollout.

15. Clinical & Sales Team Capability Development

  • Support the development and certification of clinical and/or sales team members in assigned business units.

  • Ensure compliance with certification requirements and ongoing clinical education standards.

16. Professional Expertise & Compliance Responsibilities

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of:

    • Product IFUs

    • Best practices and technical troubleshooting

    • Scientific and clinical literature

    • New product and portfolio updates

  • Ensure adherence to Safe Fleet standards.

  • Proactively communicate risks, issues, and opportunities to management.

  • Maintain full personal and organizational compliance with applicable regulations, policies, and procedures.

17. Additional Responsibilities

  • Perform other duties as required to support business and organizational needs.

Safe Fleet Requirements:

Since this position is eligible for Company Car as a working tool, it is also required:

  • Valid driver’s license.

  • At least 3 years of driving a car experience, preferably in highway zones (between 80 and 110 km/h) and with standard vehicles.
