About Role
The Principal, Procurement – Programs and Function, is responsible for design and delivery of procurement performance frameworks that drive measurable value, improve supplier outcomes, and enable data-driven decision-making across the organization.
It is also responsible for orchestrating key procurement programs and establishing a robust procurement performance management that ensures Procurement delivers measurable strategic value to the organization.
Role Responsibilities
Procurement Performance Management
- Define and implement a procurement performance management framework, aligned to the business objectives
- Own performance governance, reporting cadence, and continuous improvement cycles
- Establish clear KPIs across cost, quality, delivery, risk, and sustainability
- Develop executive-level performance insights and communication for procurement leadership and senior stakeholders.
- Ensure transparency and accountability in procurement performance across the teams.
Cross-Functional Program Leadership
- Lead the execution and governance of strategic cross-functional procurement programs that advance Procurement priorities, such as cash improvement, tail solution expansion, supply chain financing and more.
- Drive these across all Procurement areas
- Translate procurement-wide strategic initiatives into structured, multi-workstream programs with clear milestones, deliverables, and accountability.
- Monitor program progress, proactively address risks and dependencies, and ensure successful delivery of targeted outcomes.
Value Delivery Governance
- Establish governance mechanisms to track and validate value delivery, including productivity, cash improvement, innovation, and broader value contributions.
- Partner closely with Finance, Legal, HR, and OUs to align drive wider programs and their value generation.
- Lead regular performance reviews with procurement leadership and business stakeholders to ensure delivery against targets.
Performance Analytics and Insights
- Build analytics that support performance management and program decision-making.
- Leverage spend analytics, supplier data, and operational metrics to identify performance improvement opportunities.
- Drive a culture of data-driven procurement management and performance transparency.
Stakeholder Alignment
- Serve as a liaison between procurement leadership and key enterprise stakeholders for Procurement overall and cross-functional programs led by the role.
- Align cross-functional teams around program objectives and procurement value goals.
- Provide strategic insights and performance updates to senior leadership and governance forums.
Basic Skills / Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Procurement, Risk Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
15+ years of experience in procurement, strategy, transformation, or program management
Strong experience leading complex, cross-functional programs in global organizations
Deep understanding of procurement processes across the source-to-pay lifecycle
Expertise in program governance, performance management frameworks, and value delivery tracking
Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills
Ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels
Experience managing large projects and end-to-end service/operations delivery
Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills, including developing executive-level presentations and business cases
Experience managing and influencing stakeholders across matrixed, global organizations
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (PowerPoint, Excel)
High level of fluency in spoken and written English
Strong understanding of procurement best practices, policies, and tools
Proven ability to solve complex problems with limited oversight
Ability to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines
Strong collaboration mindset with the ability to drive and implement change
Preferred Skills
Master’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, Risk Management, or related fields
Professional certifications (e.g., CPSM, CPIM, PMP)
Experience working extensively in highly matrixed, global environments
Demonstrated high learning agility
Ability to influence senior stakeholders across and beyond own function
Experience coaching, mentoring, and developing team members
Strong motivation for continuous professional development
