Job Overview
The Sr. Manager, Product/Pipeline Communications – Trauma is a strategic communications leader responsible for shaping and delivering compelling product and pipeline narratives for the Trauma portfolio. This role partners closely with Marketing, R&D, Medical Affairs, and Commercial teams to translate complex clinical and technical information into clear, compliant, and impactful communications that support product launches, lifecycle management, and future innovation. This position plays a critical role in strengthening brand credibility, supporting surgeon and internal stakeholder engagement, and enabling business growth across the Trauma franchise.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development and execution of integrated product and pipeline communication strategies for the Trauma portfolio across internal and external audiences.
Partner with cross‑functional stakeholders (Marketing, R&D, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, and Commercial) to align messaging with business strategy and clinical evidence.
Create and oversee core messaging, value propositions, launch narratives, and pipeline storytelling to support product launches and portfolio growth.
Ensure all communications are accurate, consistent, and compliant with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
Manage agency partners and external vendors to deliver high‑quality communications deliverables on time and within budget.
Support executive and leadership communications related to Trauma product innovation and pipeline milestones.
Analyze performance metrics and stakeholder feedback to continuously improve communication effectiveness and impact.
Mentor and influence internal partners by providing communications guidance and best practices across the Trauma organization.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree required in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Business, Life Sciences, or a related field.
Master’s degree (MBA, MA in Communications, or similar) preferred.
Experience and Skills
Required:
Minimum 8–10 years of progressive experience in communications, marketing communications, or corporate communications, preferably within medical devices, healthcare, or life sciences.
Proven experience leading product and/or pipeline communications for complex portfolios.
Strong ability to translate technical and clinical concepts into clear, compelling messaging.
Demonstrated success working in highly matrixed, cross‑functional environments.
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
Experience managing agencies, vendors, and multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred:
Experience supporting Trauma, Orthopedics, or surgical medical device portfolios.
Familiarity with global product launch processes and lifecycle management.
Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements impacting healthcare communications.
Experience with executive‑level communications and leadership messaging.
Demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority.
Other
Language: English required; additional languages preferred.
Travel: Up to 20% domestic and international travel.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :
$122,000.00 - $212,750.00Additional Description for Pay Transparency:
Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive program.
Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:
• Vacation –120 hours per calendar year
• Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Colorado –48 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington –56 hours per calendar year
• Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays –13 days per calendar year
• Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
• Parental Leave – 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child
• Bereavement Leave – 240 hours for an immediate family member: 40 hours for an extended family member per calendar year
• Caregiver Leave – 80 hours in a 52-week rolling period10 days
• Volunteer Leave – 32 hours per calendar year
• Military Spouse Time-Off – 80 hours per calendar year
