About the role

The Training Associate is part of a global function called Operations and Processes – Training and Communications. This is a global role that supports training delivery to over 2000 Research & Development (R&D) employees across Haleon’s R&D organization.

The Training Associate role manages the relevant processes to assist the R&D organization with onboarding and training its employees across R&D sites, and countries in accordance with industry requirements. It collaborates with functional leads, business processes and systems owners to develop and deploy effective, engaging and learner-focused training for R&D employees.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage process to ensure appropriate training is assigned to all R&D employees including assessing training content requirements as roles change and evolve, or as individuals change responsibilities. Training assignments include, but are not limited to written standards, ways of working, system training, product information where applicable and capability training.

  • Maintains training assets in a validated learning management system for all R&D employees ensuring training is assigned in line with job requirements and completed on time.

  • Create and roll out engaging, high-quality training materials by using various training design tools to enable deployment of business processes, systems, product overview, industry guidelines, technical capabilities etc.

  • Ensure all current R&D procedures are maintained in their current version and assigned to ensure that R&D colleagues are trained in line with industry requirements.

  • Partner with the Process, Standards & Documentation team to support the development and delivery of learning that enable business readiness and effective adoption.

  • Subject matter expert for training processing and applications, providing support to colleagues as needed.

  • Develop and report training metrics to drive training compliance and monitoring to ensure audit/inspection readiness.

  • Provide audit and regulatory inspection support across R&D by providing timely documentation and supporting the implementation of effective corrective and preventative actions (CAPA) to meet required timelines.

Why you?

Basic Qualifications:

Essential

  • College / university degree in science-related field with 5 years pharmaceutical and/or consumer healthcare/goods industry knowledge and experience

  • Minimum 3 years in training and communication.

  • Confidence working with learning management systems, digital tools and Microsoft Office package

  • Experience developing training materials using training content development tools and software

  • Team player with strong written communication skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and take ownership of defined deliverables.

Preferred

  • Experience working in a regulated or compliance‑driven environment.

  • Experience supporting audit, assessment, or CAPA activities.

  • Enhanced customer service orientation and ability to communicate professionally to diverse cross-functional non-technical and technical audiences.

  • Experience working with cross‑functional, regional, or global stakeholders.
