The Vice President International Markets, reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Global Commercialization & International Markets, will lead global efforts to evaluate and execute opportunities for all assets in Genmab’s portfolio outside of US, Japan, EU and other select markets. This person will guide the company in cultivating partnerships and building Genmab presence in select markets.  The successful candidate will have extensive experience in international markets and Oncology as well as managing partnerships/distributorships and translating this experience into growing value.  The key will be to increase the value of Genmab’s portfolio while managing revenue and cost expectations.  This role demands a highly experienced leader who can thrive by providing vision and leading Genmab through the complexities of global markets, demonstrating strategic foresight and specialized knowledge in navigating the complexities of late-stage oncology product strategies and launches.

Work arrangement: This role offers flexibility to work away from the office for 20%–40% of a typical schedule. Employees may use this work schedule in increments of single days or multiple consecutive days, provided it does not exceed 40% within a 60-day period, and is approved by the hiring manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and oversee International Market Strategy in line with the compound development strategies that ensures successful product launches across markets, optimized patient access consistent with commercial priorities,

  • Responsible for ensuring a cross-functionally aligned regulatory, market access and marketing strategies specifically relating to global value and establishing core functions to support commercialization in international markets

  • Champion commercialization excellence to optimize product launch and lifecycle management.

  • Strong leadership & communication skills to manage and inspire and develop talent and to lead across the matrix while fostering collaboration.

  • Building strong collaborations with Genmab markets, R&D, and global medical affairs to ensure consistent approach and results

  • Cultivate a culture of agility and innovation; thrive in uncertainty and navigate the complexities of the oncology market.

  • Proactively identify, evaluate, and leverage emerging technologies (e.g., advanced analytics, AI, digital platforms) to enhance strategic decision-making, accelerate execution, and strengthen commercial performance across international markets

  • Establish clear governance frameworks for international markets, including defined decision rights, partnership oversight structures, prioritization processes, and performance management systems to ensure disciplined, compliant, and value-driven expansion

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.

  • 15+ years of experience in marketing/ direct brand management experience, in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry

  • Proven experience driving and leading large teams and cross-functional teams in a leadership capacity

  • Significant experience translating commercial vision into actionable direction for marketing, market access, commercial operations, and other cross functional teams

  • Demonstrated experience in functional leadership, strategic stakeholder management, operational management, and budget management

  • Track record of attracting and developing talent and building high performance teams

  • Proven performance in comparable role

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated success in aligning internal stakeholders across regions, synchronizing efforts across key markets, and ensuring consistent branding and messaging to achieve shard goals

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, capable of motivating teams and influencing stakeholders across the organization.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and capable of making decisions amidst uncertainty.

  • Foster relationships with key opinion leaders, patient advocacy groups, and professional societies to enhance brand visibility and support.

  • Demonstrated success in pre-launch and launch phases of oncology products, delivering sound commercial strategy and strong launch performance versus forecast

For US based candidates, the proposed salary band for this position is as follows:

$280,000.00---$420,000.00

The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as discretionary bonuses and long-term incentives.
