The Role & Your Impact

As Enzyme Lead (Senior/Principal Specialist), you will play a key role in shaping and executing dietary enzyme innovation projects with global reach. The role has a strong focus on applied science, project execution, and cross‑functional collaboration.

Your work will directly support innovation pipelines, commercial activities, and post‑launch success by translating scientific insight into robust application data and technical solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Scoping and executing dietary enzyme projects from an applied scientific and technical perspective
  • Generating high‑quality experimental and application data to support innovation initiatives, customer requests, and commercial activities
  • Acting as a scientific bridge between HHB Science & Innovation, HHB Commercial, and R&D teams
  • Providing technical and scientific support for post‑launch activities
  • Contributing to global projects within human health biosolutions

What You’ll Need to Be Successful
 

To succeed in this role, you bring a solid scientific foundation combined with strong collaboration and stakeholder skills.
 

Musthave qualifications and experience:

  • PhD or MSc in enzyme/protein chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology, or a related scientific field
  • Hands‑on experience with enzyme assay development, method development, and data handling
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem‑solving skills
  • Proven ability to collaborate across scientific and commercial stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal

Additional Skills & Interests We Value
 

The following are nice‑to‑have and not required for success from day one:

  • Experience or strong interest in the gastrointestinal system, human health, and nutrition
  • Experience working in cross‑functional or global project teams
  • A strong professional network within enzyme science or human health research

Ways of Working / Working Conditions

  • Office‑based role in Lyngby with flexibility to work from home
  • Flexible working hours supporting work‑life balance
  • Limited travel expected (approximately 0–10 days per year)
