Join our Corporate Finance regional team in Lyngby, where we play a key role in supporting Novonesis’ listed parent entity, Novozymes A/S, and selected Danish and EMEA entities. You will become part of a team of four within a broader regional setup of nine colleagues, working collaboratively across Corporate Finance.
In this role, you will help ensure accurate payroll accounting and strong financial controls—contributing directly to transparency, compliance, and sound financial decision‑making that supports Novonesis’ purpose of creating sustainable impact through biosolutions.

The Role & Your Impact

As Corporate Finance Payroll Accountant, you will hold an operational role with a strong execution focus and the opportunity to contribute to process alignment following the merger. Your work will be central to ensuring correct payroll accounting, reconciliations, and close collaboration with Payroll and Finance stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Accounting for monthly payroll entries from the KPC payroll system in close collaboration with the Payroll team in P&O
  • Reconciling and clearing payroll‑related balance sheet accounts in line with the internal control framework
  • Accruing payroll‑related expenses such as holiday pay and bonuses
  • Working closely with a Danish subsidiary colleague to align and optimize payroll accounting processes
  • Supporting the Corporate Finance team and interacting with Payroll and Business Finance on queries and clarifications

What You’ll Need to Be Successful

To succeed in this role, you bring a solid foundation in accounting and payroll processes, combined with strong analytical skills.

Must‑haves:

  • Relevant education in accounting, finance, or related field
  • Sound bookkeeping knowledge and experience with monthly journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Experience working with large data sets and the ability to analyze and present clear conclusions
  • Strong Excel skills and general proficiency in MS Office
  • Knowledge of Danish payroll rules and processes
  • Fluency in both Danish and English, written and spoken
  • Ability to work effectively within monthly and annual financial cycles

Additional Skills & Interests We Value

Experience with SAP, familiarity with the KPC payroll system, and prior experience in a multinational or matrix organization would be an advantage. We also value continuously improving mindset and curiosity for finding smarter ways of working.

Ways of Working / Working Conditions

This is a full‑time position under a hybrid working model, with the majority of time spent on site in Lyngby. You will work in an open‑seating office environment, with occasional overtime expected during peak periods, though not on a regular basis. Limited travel is anticipated.
