About the role

The FPCRA Global Function Lead is the end‑to‑end finance owner for the Function, accountable for the full spectrum from planning and forecasting through to controllership, reporting, and performance analytics.

This role combines the responsibilities of Planning & Forecasting Lead and Close & Control / Controllership Lead for the function, providing a single point of accountability for financial integrity, performance insight, and forward‑looking outlooks.
 

The FPCRA Global Function Lead partners closely with the Function Finance Head & Function leadership team to drive business strategy, acts as the gatekeeper of the Function financials, and ensures robust governance, controls, and high‑quality decision support.

Responsibilities

End‑to‑End Financial Ownership

  • Own the end‑to‑end finance cycle for the Function, from forecasting and planning to actuals reporting and performance analysis

  • Ensure financial results, outlooks, and narratives are accurate, consistent, and timely

  • Act as the single point of accountability for integrity and accuracy of Cluster Financials

Planning, Forecasting & Performance Management

  • Lead all planning, forecasting, and update cycles for the Function, including robust challenge of assumptions and scenarios.

  • Drive high‑quality analytics, explaining key drivers, risks, and opportunities

  • Support Function performance reviews with clear insights and forward‑looking perspectives

Controllership, Governance & Compliance

  • Ensure robust financial controls, stewardship, and compliance for the Function

  • Review and challenge Balance Sheet movements, Working Capital, headcount, accruals and provisions, ensuring strong financial discipline and control.

  • Take a proactive stance on compliance

  • Act as escalation point for financial risks, control issues, and judgment‑based decisions

  • Ensure correct cost management and allocation, in line with Group policies and finance standards.

Business Partnering & Stakeholder Management

  • Develop a deep knowledge of the function fundamentals

  • Partner with the Function Finance Head and business leadership Partner acting as a trusted finance advisor and supporting decision‑making.

  • Engage with Group Control, Consolidation, External Reporting,  Group FP&A, Tax, Treasury,

  • Represent the Function at global finance forums if required

Organization & Capability Leadership

  • Lead and develop team members

Build a strong controllership and insight‑driven finance culture

Continuous Improvement Drive

  • Lead the development and management of continuous improvement strategies for the Cluster close, control, reporting, consolidation and forecasting processes

Role Requirements

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).

  • 10+ years post‑qualification experience in Financial Controlling, FP&A and/or Audit, preferably in a global or multifunctional environment.

  • Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail and ability to translate numbers into business insight.

  • Solid understanding of R2R end‑to‑end processes and finance systems (SAP FI, SAP FC, BI tools).

  • Strong experience in planning, forecasting, budgeting and performance management.

  • Experience operating in a SOX or controlled finance environment.

  • Proven ability to work with and challenge senior stakeholders (Finance Directors, VPs, Global Function leaders).

  • Strong communication, organization and problem‑solving skills, with a proactive and collaborative mindset.
