What you will do

The Junior Key Account Manager is responsible for supervising the development and servicing of national/key accounts to achieve business sales objectives. You will review results, adjust plans, manage budgets, assign quotas, monitor progress, and resolve routine customer issues to ensure targets are met.

This is a 6 months Fixed Term Contract at 80%.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire a dynamic sales and account management team to exceed key account growth and business sales targets through innovative client engagement strategies and effective supervision.
  • Develop, implement, and adjust tailored account and sales plans leveraging data-driven insights and sales results analysis to anticipate client needs, market trends, and achieve forecasted objectives.
  • Act as a strategic liaison between clients and internal departments, fostering collaborative solutions that drive mutual success and resolving routine customer problems promptly to maintain high satisfaction levels.
  • Champion the adoption of cutting-edge CRM tools and design ad hoc sales plans and contests to streamline account management, motivate the sales force, and enhance customer experience.
  • Mentor junior team members by cultivating a culture of continuous learning, creative problem-solving, and a positive, productive work environment within the sales and account management functions.
  • Effectively communicate incentive plan parameters and goals to the sales team to ensure clarity and alignment.
  • Contribute to the preparation and management of the departmental budget, ensuring expenses remain within approved limits.
  • Assign sales quotas, manage account distribution among sales staff to optimize coverage and performance, and monitor team progress regularly to identify issues early and implement corrective actions.
  • Prepare comprehensive and periodic sales reports and present detailed analyses of changes in customer profiles to senior management to inform strategic decisions and recommend alternative approaches.

What we are looking for

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in key account management or sales supervision roles.
  • Proven track record of successfully executing business initiatives and driving project outcomes.
  • Strong understanding of business planning processes and performance measurement cycles.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to deliver compelling presentations.
  • Exceptional leadership capabilities with experience motivating and managing sales teams.
  • Ability to build and sustain effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external clients.
  • Customer-centric approach with patience and resilience in managing challenging situations.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple tasks and projects efficiently.
  • Capability to inspire and lead teams towards achieving targets while maintaining a positive culture.
  • Adaptability and flexibility in managing diverse situations and personnel.
