Digital Commerce at HALEON includes our e-commerce businesses across pureplay and omni-channel retailers, as well as social commerce and quick commerce channels. It looks a the end-to-end consumer journey – from product discovery to purchase.

 

The Global Digital Commerce Capability Manager works closely with the Global Digital Commerce Capability Director to enable digital commerce capabilies across the enterprise. The role is a subject matter expert in digital commerce and is responsible for building and deploying best-in-class frameworks, tools, and processes for DComm, contributing to the continuous improvement of our marketing capabilities. In supporting the company to win in the digital retail landscape, the role will work closely with colleagues in Consumer and Expert Marketing, Marketing Technology and Operations, Media, and Commercial Excellence OUs. 

 

The role sits in the Marketing Excellence End-to-End Consumer and Expert Marketing Capability Team and reports into the Global Digital Commerce Capability Director. 

 

Key responsibilities 

  • Subject Matter Expertise: Act as the Digital Commerce Capability subject matter expert within the Capability team and across the enterprise, supporting them to solve their most pressing business challenges and unlock growth opportunities using standardised tools and frameworks. 

  • Deploy and embed best practice: Support the codification of Digital Commerce best practices and standards and drive the practical application and adoption of these standards across the enterprise 

  • Develop and curate capability content: Co-create and manage content for Digital Commerce on our learning platforms, ensuring it remains the go-to source for best practices, case studies, and performance metrics. Develop materials for self-serve learning and quarterly drop-in sessions. 

  • Support Digital Commerce capability intervention modules: Assist the Director in the development and operational delivery of Digital Commerce intervention modules. This may include facilitating sessions, mentoring participants, and gathering feedback for continuous improvement. 

  • Drive innovation: Research and analyse emerging trends, technologies (such as AI), and competitive activities within the digital commerce space. Translate these insights into actionable recommendations for process improvements and new ways of working.

  • Support the Digital Commerce community of practice: Foster a vibrant community of practice amongst Digital Commerce practitioners across the enterprise. Facilitate knowledge sharing, cross-market collaboration, and the scaling of successful initiatives.

 

Qualifications and skills 

 

Essential 

  • Subject Matter Expertise: Demonstrable experience working across key Digital Commerce channels (omnichannel, pureplay, marketplace, eB2B, etc) 

  • Digital retail: Hands-on experience with retail media networks and performance marketing levers (e.g., paid search, programmatic display) integral to driving traffic and conversion in an e-commerce environment 

  • Capability-building: Demonstrable experience in designing and deploying capability-building programmes, frameworks, or tools within a corporate environment, preferably in a global-to-local operating model 

  • Learning programmes: Proven ability to facilitate workshops, lead project-based learning, and manage communities of practice to embed new skills and processes 

  • Project management: Experience in managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders, from scoping and planning through to execution and measurement; ability to build strong partnership at different levels across the organisation 

  • Technology: Practical knowledge of the technologies and platforms that underpin the digital commerce ecosystem (e.g. product information management systems, digital asset management systems, analytics suites, etc.) 

Preferred

  • Experience designing and running agile experimentation
