Job Description

The Senior Manager, Brand and Reputation Communications is part of the Brand & Reputation team and supports the delivery of Sandoz’s corporate reputation strategy across the Purpose, Proof, Brand, Trust, and Culture pillars. The role focuses on strengthening credibility by turning ESG and CSR priorities, programs, and data‑driven insights (developed by functional teams and ESG reporting) into clear proof points, coherent narratives, and evidence‑based communications. Working across the reputation pillars, the role:

•    Coordinates cross‑functional initiatives that underpin reputation
•    Ensures claims are accurate, measurable, and supported by data
•    Enables globally aligned, insight‑driven communications
•    Supports visibility, partnerships, and thought leadership

While ESG and CSR are a primary focus, the role actively contributes to broader Brand & Reputation priorities beyond ESG, applying data‑driven storytelling, insight development, and program execution to strengthen trust with key stakeholders. The role executes communications strategies, campaigns, and disclosures that reinforce Sandoz’s positioning, using robust data, measurement, and AI‑supported insights to demonstrate impact and build trust.

Your responsibilities will include:

1.      Reputation and ESG Program Coordination

·     Coordinate cross-functional initiatives (with a strong focus on ESG and CSR) that underpin the company’s Brand & Reputation pillars

·     Maintain a consolidated view of programs, milestones, risks, and alignment across Purpose, Proof, Brand, Trust, and Culture

·     Track progress using defined metrics and inputs from ESG reporting teams

2.      Narrative Development, Claims & Disclosures

·     Turn ESG program outputs and KPIs into clear, compelling, and compliant narratives

·     Develop and maintain evidence‑based claims aligned with underlying data

·     Contribute to key disclosures (e.g. Integrated Annual Report, sustainability publications), ensuring accuracy and consistency

3.      Data, Measurement & Insights (Communications Lens)

·     Interpret ESG performance data and ensure communications are grounded in clear KPIs and measurement frameworks

·     Support data readiness for communications (context, definitions, framing), without owning data generation

·     Analyze internal and external data to identify insights, risks, and opportunities for reputation and positioning

·     Leverage AI-supported tools to improve insight generation and reporting efficiency

4.      Data Visualization & Storytelling

·     Translate data into clear visuals, dashboards, and storytelling formats

·     Guide teams and agencies on effective data presentation

·     Ensure outputs are transparent, accessible, and aligned to stakeholder needs

5.      Communications & Reputation Program Execution

·     Execute ESG, CSR, and broader Brand & Reputation initiatives under strategic direction

·     Manage workstreams and agency partners to deliver content for key moments

·     Ensure outputs align with data-driven insights and narrative priorities

6.      Stakeholder Alignment & Governance

·     Support global and cross-country alignment of messaging and program activation

·     Provide guidance to affiliates on ESG, CSR, and Brand & Reputation priorities

·     Support governance forums and coordinate inputs for reporting and disclosure processes

What you need to bring to the role:

  • Degree in Communications, Public Policy, Environmental / Social Sciences, Business, or related field
  • Additional ESG, sustainability, reporting certifications are an advantage
  • Fluent in English (written & spoken). Additional languages are a plus.
  • 5–10 years of experience in ESG, CSR, sustainability, brand, reputation, or corporate communications roles
  • Experience coordinating cross‑functional initiatives in complex, international organizations
  • Proven experience translating ESG and CSR programs and data outputs into clear narratives and communication strategies
  • Experience working with ESG reporting teams, analytics platforms, dashboards, and AI‑enabled tools
  • Strong data and reporting capability, including:
    • Data collection coordination (communications scope)
    • Data synthesis and interpretation
  • Measurement, KPIs, and reporting logic
  • Solid understanding of ESG data visualization and storytelling
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to convert data into insight (not data ownership)
  • Excellent project management, stakeholder engagement, and cross functional collaboration skills
  • High emotional intelligence, strong communication and presentation skills
  • Self starter with excellent prioritization and delivery discipline
  • Comfortable working in a matrixed, multicultural environment

Sandoz compensation is determined by job level, qualifications, niche skills, experience, and location within company salary ranges. Fully proficient and highly effective employees can expect a starting salary around market median, with those new to the level or with less functional depth at the lower end of the range and those with sustained superior or niche skills towards the higher end of the range. Internal equity and external market data inform our range placement. Annual salary reviews consider performance outcomes, market alignment, and business needs.
