The Associate Director, Forecasting is a member of the Market Insight and Forecasting team who will lead forecasting and data analytics activities within the Immunology and Autoimmune (IAI) franchise. This role is responsible for developing robust, data-driven forecasts to support strategic decision-making, financial planning, brand execution, and launch readiness. The ideal candidate will have a background in the pharmaceutical industry, with a strong emphasis on dermatology, expertise in claims data analytics, and the ability to partner effectively across Commercial, Finance, Market Access, and Market Insights functions. Key Responsibilities • Execute, development, and manage short- and long-range forecasts for in-line and pipeline IAI products • Clearly communicate forecast methodology, assumptions, risks, and opportunities to stakeholders • Identify opportunities to enhance forecasting processes, methodologies, and use of real-world data sources • Collects, analyzes and synthesizes market information from diverse sources to provide insight on Brand and Market Performance and a cohesive and clear manner • Monitors competitive landscape and proactively identifies and models events which may have an impact on overall sales performance and incorporates into forecasts as appropriate • Partners with Market Access and Finance to assess impacts of payer access changes and contracting impact on demand forecasts • Track post-launch performance versus forecast, identify key drivers of variance, and recommend forecast or strategic adjustment • Development of key performance slides and presentations used to socialize performance with Executive Leadership and Board of Directors • Works in close partnership with Product Strategy, Sales, Market Access, Finance, Business Operations, Medical Affairs, Supply Chain and Global colleagues to effectively identify and address key business questions with robust and timely analytics and clearly identify and document forecast assumptions and values • Subject matter expert for multiple data sets used in forecasting, quantitative analysis and performance assessments (i.e., epidemiology, claims, EHR, patient longitudinal data, other secondary sources) • Support and manage tracking studies, KPIs and routine performance tracking for dermatology indications (e.g., ATU, Chart Audit, data purchases, report definition, etc) • Ensures appropriate compliance and legal requirements are incorporated and reviewed in a timely manner • Effectively and independently prioritizes and manages requests in line with business priorities in a fast paced and changing environment Minimum Requirements • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field required (Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Business Analytics, Engineering or related degree) • Minimum 5-8 years Pharmaceutical/Biotechnology business experience with substantial experience in business analysis and forecasting • Extensive knowledge and experience utilizing various data sources used in forecasting and performance assessment including epidemiology, medical and pharmacy claims, longitudinal patient data, Plantrak, FIA and various other secondary data sources • Experienced at leveraging a variety of forecasting methodologies and best practices in support of forecast development • Strong analytical capability and critical thinking skills • Proven ability to effectively interact with stakeholders and decision makers, work cross functionally, understand customer needs and incorporate into analysis and deliver results • Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to influence and executive presence • Ability to present quantitative data and analysis in a clear and concise manner to senior management • Advanced proficiency of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint required. Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI, Sequel, SAS, R or other similar data analysis and management tools preferred. • Dermatology market knowledge and experience preferred • Experience conducting primary research (i.e., qualitative or quantitative) preferred • Flexible and nimble, easily adapts to changing priorities as needed • Independently and effectively prioritizes and manages requests in line with business priorities in a fast-paced environment • Willingness to travel up to 20% domestically to attend research, conferences and other events Disclaimer: The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employees assigned to this job.
