The Associate Director, Business Information Services - Sales & Marketing, is responsible for partnering with BIS leadership and shared services to deliver on the technical requirements, including solution architecture, and implementing near and long term solutions that enable the Dermatology Business Unit’s field sales, medical teams, and marketing functions. This senior technical leadership role is seeking a player-coach able to deliver scalable, secure, and integrated technology solutions across CRM, Business Intelligence (BI), data platforms, and other critical commercial systems. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with a strong desire to develop their leadership capabilities via supporting a critical path pharmaceutical commercial operations journey. Essential Functions of the Job (Key responsibilities) Align and execute against the business unit’s technical demand, including CRM (Veeva/Salesforce), BI (Power BI), data integration pipelines, and master data management. Support the successful end-to-end software development lifecycle execution: requirements gathering, UI/UX design, architecture review, development oversight, QA/testing, deployment, and maintenance. Contribute to the planning and coordination of scalable system integrations, including APIs, data pipelines, and ETL processes across internal systems and third-party data sources (e.g., IQVIA, claims, SP data). Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather functional requirements and translate them into technical specifications and prioritized development plans. Provide input into solution design in partnership with system architects and data engineers to ensure performance, scalability, and compliance. Provide day to day guidance to developers, business analysts, and vendors to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of technology initiatives. Ensure ongoing data integrity, availability, and adherence to key pharmaceutical regulatory standards—such as HIPAA, 21 CFR Part 11, and PDMA—to safeguard compliance and operational excellence. Proactively monitor production systems, address issues, and implement system optimizations. Lead change management, end-user training, and system adoption strategies across the business unit. Participate in evaluating and implementing emerging technologies that drive innovation, automation, and business value. Qualifications (Minimal acceptable level of education, work experience, and competency) Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred). 5+ years of progressive technical experience in Commercial IT, Sales Operations, or enterprise application development, with at least 3 years in a technical leadership role. Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional technical teams and managing vendor/partner relationships, leveraging a collaborative and proactive style to align business objectives with technology solution. Proven experience supporting the architecture and administration of pharmaceutical commercial systems, including: CRM platforms: Veeva CRM (preferred), Salesforce BI tools: Power BI, Tableau, Qlik ETL and data integration tools (e.g., Informatica, Azure Data Factory, Talend) Data warehousing and modeling (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, SQL Server) Strong understanding of pharmaceutical business processes, including: Call planning, sampling, territory alignments, incentive compensation, and HCP targeting Field MSL support including KOL development Experience working with diverse pharmaceutical data sources: IQVIA datasets (PlanTrak, LAAD), claims data (FIA, Copay, Specialty Pharmacy), and digital/multi-channel engagement data Knowledge of security frameworks and compliance requirements: HIPAA, 21 CFR Part 11, PDMA Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or hybrid project management methodologies Excellent verbal and written communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
