Boost our Team
You will be responsible for managing the entire CAPEX portfolio for our site in Bern. This includes strategic planning, budgeting, execution, and monitoring of capital investment projects. A key component of the role is to act as a hands-on Project Manager for selected high-impact projects. The position reports functionally to the Global CAPEX Team and leads a team of Project Managers and Controllers.
About the role
Lead and manage the site’s full CAPEX portfolio, ensuring prioritization, regulatory compliance and alignment with corporate strategy.
Lead, coach and develop a team of Project Managers and Controllers, ensuring effective resource planning and high performance.
Act as Project Manager for critical CAPEX projects, with strong ownership of feasibility and FEED phases to ensure robust project definition and risk mitigation.
Plan, monitor and control CAPEX budgets, including accurate forecasting and cost control against financial targets.
Work closely with the Global CAPEX organization to implement standardized processes, tools and reporting.
Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders and ensure full compliance with GMP, safety and internal policies in vaccine manufacturing projects.
About you
8+ years of CAPEX project management experience in the biopharmaceutical or pharmaceutical industry, including feasibility and FEED leadership.
Proven experience leading and developing project teams in a complex, regulated environment.
Strong hands-on project management skills across the full CAPEX lifecycle.
Solid budget management, forecasting and analytical capabilities.
Strong understanding of GMP and regulatory requirements for vaccine or biopharmaceutical manufacturing.
Project Management certification (PMP, IPMA Level C or higher preferred) and proficiency in tools such as MS Project and SAP.
