What you will do

The Line Support Engineer is responsible for providing technical and maintenance support to production lines to ensure equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and support continuous production. This role focuses on troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, continuous improvement, and close collaboration with production teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide immediate technical support to production lines to resolve equipment breakdowns and reduce downtime.

  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and automation-related issues.

  • Support ongoing production to ensure output, quality, and safety targets are achieved.\

  • Execute preventive and corrective maintenance according to maintenance plans and schedules.

  • Analyze recurring failures and implement permanent corrective actions.

  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, breakdown reports, and spare parts usage.

  • Participate in line improvement projects to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.

  • Support root cause analysis (RCA), FMEA, and problem-solving activities.

  • Identify opportunities to improve maintenance procedures, spare parts management, and equipment performance.

  • Ensure all maintenance work complies with EHS, quality, and company standards.

  • Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO) and safety procedures during maintenance activities.

  • Support compliance with regulatory, GMP, and internal audit requirements (if applicable).

  • Work closely with Production, Quality, Engineering, and external vendors.

  • Provide technical guidance and support to technicians and operators.

  • Support equipment installation, commissioning, and modification activities.

  • What we are looking for

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.

  • 2–3 years of experience in maintenance within a manufacturing environment (e.g., FMCG, pharmaceutical, electronics).

  • Experience with production equipment, conveyors, packaging machines, or automated systems preferred.

Technical Skills

  • Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical and electrical systems.

  • Basic knowledge of PLC, sensors, motors, drives, and pneumatics (hands-on or support level).

  • Familiarity with preventive maintenance systems and CMMS.

  • Ability to read engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and manuals.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure in a production environment.

  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

  • Proactive, hands-on, and continuous improvement mindset.

  • Knowledge of GMP and regulated manufacturing environment.

  • Basic project management skills.

  • Vendor coordination and spare parts management experience.
