About this role

Our purpose is to bring hope to life by enabling life-changing therapies for patients around the globe, creating a healthier and happier tomorrow. Our mission is to work side by side with our customers in order to improve patients’ lives by bringing new biopharmaceuticals to market.

Lead the team that keeps production running and bring hope to life

At AGC Biologics, we bring hope to life by enabling life-changing therapies for patients worldwide. Behind every successful GMP production run is a utility operation that performs safely, reliably, and compliantly.

As Manager, Utility Operation & Engineering, you will lead the team that owns our mission-critical infrastructure and ensures stable supply to operations. You’ll develop people, drive continuous improvements, and work closely with stakeholders across the Copenhagen site to keep our utilities “inspection-ready” every day.

Your mission: reliable utilities, strong compliance, engaged people

You and your team own the utility area and infrastructure such as HVAC, PW/WFI, clean steam, compressed air, technical gases, and cooling systems. The team consists of 10 experienced technicians and engineers who collaborate closely to ensure safe and reliable operation.

What you’ll be responsible for

  • Reliable and sufficient supply to operation

  • Fast follow-up on incident situations including facilitating root cause analysis.

  • Lean leadership and continuous improvement of core processes

  • Direct on current standards for GMP production, i.e., EU GMP, 21 CFR and ICH guidelines.

  • Manage trained employees for our 24/7 on call support

  • People development, high level of employee engagement and performance

  • Ensure cost-effective service and contract management.

  • Develop our Life Cycle Asset Management in collaboration with our PMO department.

  • Close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders

The team and how we work

Utilities are part of Plant Engineering, covering manufacturing maintenance, metrology, utility operations, asset management and compliance. We are service-minded and support the full Copenhagen site with a high level of professionalism. You’ll join a diverse team where accountability, teamwork and a practical “make it work” mindset are valued.

The kind of leader who thrives here

You combine a warm heart with a clear head. You create followership, motivate others, and remove obstacles with a strong sense of urgency. You communicate clearly and work well across functions in a complex operational environment.

We imagine you bring:

  • 3–5+ years of people management experience from a complex technical area within operations/maintenance.

  • Experience implementing maintenance strategies (e.g., Reliability Centered Maintenance) is a plus.

  • A relevant engineering degree or similar technical background.

  • Experience from regulated industries (pharma/biotech or similar).

  • Strong communication skills in Danish and English (spoken and written).
