Som en del af denne rejse søger vi nu en ledende maskintekniker med en stærk smede- og svejsebaggrund, der kan tage ejerskab over fremstilling, svejsning og metalbearbejdningsopgaver i rustfrit stål på tværs af vores produktions- og forsyningsområder. Derfor betegner vi både denne rolle som Mechanical Technician og Smed.
Denne rolle er nøglen til at muliggøre hurtigere responstider og højere fleksibilitet - og dermed direkte understøtte leveringen af livsændrende biofarmaceutiske produkter til patienter over hele verden.
Om teamet
PLE Maintenance-teamet i Engineering består af 12 dedikerede teknikere, ingeniører og students. Vi arbejder med en flad struktur, stærkt samarbejde og høje professionelle standarder. Teamet lægger stor vægt på teamwork, ejerskab, teknisk udvikling og løbende forbedringer. Du vil være teamets go-to specialist inden for rustfrit stålarbejde, svejsning og metalbearbejdning.
Om rollen
Som senior maskintekniker vil du spille en ledende rolle i at udføre og udvikle internt metalarbejde. Du vil arbejde praktisk med fremstilling af rustfrit stål, svejsning og mekaniske modifikationer, samtidig med at du støtter generelle mekaniske vedligeholdelsesaktiviteter. Du vil blive betroet et betydeligt teknisk ansvar og forventes at arbejde selvstændigt, sikkert og i fuld overensstemmelse med GMP-krav.
Hovedansvarsområder
- Udfør svejsning og fremstilling af rustfrit stål (f.eks. rør, rammer, beslag, understøtninger, udstyrsmodifikationer)
- Udfør metalarbejde og mekaniske modifikationer på produktions- og forsyningudstyr
- Støtte til installation, modifikation og når nyt udstyr sættes i drift, herunder rør og mekanisk montering
- Fejlfinding, reparation og vedligehold af mekanisk udstyr såsom pumper, ventiler, omrørere og rørsystemer
- Udfør forebyggende og korrigerende vedligeholdelse i overensstemmelse med GMP og interne procedurer
- Brug CMMS til at planlægge, dokumentere og lukke arbejdsordrer på en struktureret og rettidig måde
- Sørg for, at al svejsning og metalarbejde udføres sikkert og dokumenteres i henhold til GMP-standarder
- Identificer proaktivt muligheder for at insource opgaver, forbedre vedligeholdelsesevnen og reducere afhængigheden af eksterne leverandører
Arbejdstider og vagter
Denne rolle er en del af vores vagtbaserede vedligeholdelsesstruktur:
- Dagvagt: 06:00 – 14:00
- Aftenvagt: 13:30 – 21:30
- Alle teknikere deltager i en vagtplan for at understøtte kritisk udstyr uden for normal arbejdstid
- Aftenvagt og on-call duty roterer med to måneders mellemrum, hvilket sikrer god planlægning og en fair fordeling. Denne struktur sikrer både kontinuerlig support til produktionen, samtidig med at den afbalancerer rotationen for teamet.
Dine kvalifikationer
Vi søger en praktisk dygtig smed med solid erfaring inden for rustfrit stålarbejde, der trives i et produktionsmiljø og er stolt af håndværk af høj kvalitet. Ideelt set skal du have følgende kvalifikationer:
- Afsluttet uddannelse som smed (klejnsmed), maskinarbejder, industritekniker, mekaniker, maskinmester eller lignende
- Minimum 3-5 års erfaring med mekanisk vedligeholdelse i industrielle eller procesmiljøer
- Stærke praktiske færdigheder med rør, ventiler, fittings og mekaniske samlinger
- Kendskab til værktøjer som pumper, kompressorer, CIP/SIP-skids og varmevekslere
- Stærk erfaring med svejsning og metalbearbejdning i rustfrit stål
- Erfaring med brug af et CMMS til at styre vedligeholdelsesarbejde
- Stærk sans for struktur, ansvar og sikkerhed
- Evne til at arbejde selvstændigt og samarbejde på tværs af funktioner
Følgende kvalifikationer vil yderligere styrke din ansøgning, men er ikke nødvendige:
- Erfaring fra GMP-regulerede miljøer (f.eks. farmaceutisk, fødevare- eller bioteknologisk)

At AGC Biologics, we are strengthening our in-house maintenance capabilities and reducing reliance on external suppliers. As part of this journey, we are now looking for a Senior Mechanical Technician with a strong smith and welding background who can take ownership of stainless-steel fabrication, welding, and metalwork tasks across our production and utility areas.
This role is key to enabling faster response times, higher flexibility, and improved equipment uptime — directly supporting the delivery of life-changing biopharmaceuticals to patients worldwide.
About the Team
The PLE Maintenance team in Engineering consists of 12 dedicated technicians, engineers, and student assistants. We work with a flat structure, strong collaboration, and high professional standards. The team places strong emphasis on teamwork, ownership, technical development, and continuous improvement. You will be the go-to specialist within the team for stainless steel work, welding, and metal fabrication.
About the Role
As a Senior Mechanical Technician, you will take a leading role in performing and developing in-house metalwork. You will work hands-on with stainless steel fabrication, welding, and mechanical modifications, while also supporting general mechanical maintenance activities.
You will be trusted with significant technical responsibility and expected to work independently, safely, and in full compliance with GMP requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform stainless steel welding and fabrication (e.g. pipework, frames, brackets, supports, equipment modifications)
- Carry out metalwork and mechanical modifications on production and utility equipment
- Support installation, modification, and commissioning of new equipment, including piping and mechanical fitting
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical equipment such as pumps, valves, agitators, and pipe systems
- Execute preventive and corrective maintenance in accordance with GMP and internal procedures
- Use the CMMS to plan, document, and close work orders in a structured and timely manner
- Ensure all welding and metalwork is performed safely and documented according to GMP standards
- Proactively identify opportunities to insource tasks, improve maintainability, and reduce dependency on external suppliers
Working Hours, Shifts & On-call Duty
This role is part of our shift-based maintenance setup:
- Day shift: 06:00 – 14:00
- Evening shift: 13:30 – 21:30
- All technicians participate in an on-call duty roster to support critical equipment outside normal working hours
- Evening shift and on-call duty rotate on a two-month cycle, ensuring predictability and fair distribution
This setup provides continuous support for production while maintaining a structured and balanced rotation for the team.
Your Qualifications
We are looking for a hands-on smith / metalworker with strong experience in stainless steel work, who thrives in a production environment and takes pride in high-quality craftsmanship.
Ideally, you must have the following qualifications:
- Completed education as smed (klejnsmed), maskinarbejder, industritekniker, mekaniker, maskinemester, or similar
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience with mechanical maintenance in industrial or process environments
- Strong hands-on skills with piping, valves, fittings and mechanical assemblies
- Familiarity with tools such as pumps, compressors, CIP/SIP skids, and heat exchangers
- Strong experience with stainless steel welding and metal fabrication
- Experience using a CMMS to manage maintenance work
- Strong sense of structure, responsibility, and safety
- Able to work independently and collaborate across functions
The following qualifications will further strengthen your application, but are not essential:
- Experience from GMP-regulated environments (e.g., pharma, food, or biotech)
- Basic understanding of utility systems (e.g., steam, water, air, HVAC)
- Able to communicate effectively in both Danish and English
