Job Description
This is a high-profile key position within the DIA Franchise which provides a unique opportunity to demonstrate, and further develop leadership skills, while at the same time having a profound impact on the lives of patients in China. The primary responsibility is to lead the marketing & sales teams of our portfolio, with focus on launches as well as continued development of existing indications to ensure that all eligible patients have access. This role will be responsible to deliver business objectives through the development of clear and actionable strategy that creates competitive advantage and drives rapid uptake. The role will be a key member of the leadership team, working together with the International Marketing Lead & regional peers to provide feedback and gain regional insight, and supporting the Global Franchise Team to develop and execute globally aligned branding, positioning and messaging that will resonate in the Spanish environment.
Key Activities
- Accountable to meet or exceed diabetes sales targets.
- Working to deliver on the following responsibilities:
- Lead the franchise’s marketing & sales teams
- Lead and challenge a cohesive cross-functional team of leaders that empower their teams to take decisions and create value for patients, the healthcare system and our company
- Develop a cross-functional strategic franchise plan with innovative solutions, customer and account targeting, clear positioning, segment-specific messaging, and optimal channel promotion to supplement field activities, and drive local plan approval with regional alignment
- Ensure a fully resourced and operational team; to include team recruitment, product training, capability development, performance management and full compliance
- Development and delivery of KPIs in collaboration with the cross-functional team. Track, monitor and take required action to ensure the delivery of the metrics
- Through liaison with global and regional stakeholders and working with the operations unit, ensure the delivery of accurate in year, medium- and long-term sales and supply forecasts
- Accountable for the execution of the strategy, collaborating with the cross-functional team to effectively prioritise activities to deliver sales and spend to budget.
- Collate robust customer insight to inform and direct strategic decision-making and effective lifecycle management decisions across the portfolio

The Successful candidate should be able to demonstrate

- A working knowledge of the healthcare system, pharmaceutical supply chain & market access environment
- Previous line-management experience
