About the role

The ISC CBIA Team is looking for a Business Analytics Lead who would be responsible for establishing a robust analytics capability & executing a comprehensive analytics strategy that drives data-driven decision-making and strategic planning for ISC BU aligned with business objectives.

Key responsibilities

1. Establish Analytics Framework:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive analytics strategy aligned with business goals.
  • Design and set up data infrastructure, including data warehouses and data lakes.
  • Defining company-wide metrics and relevant data sources to translate raw data into valuable business insights.

2. Data Governance and Management:

  • Establish data governance policies to ensure data quality, security, and compliance.
  • Oversee data collection, storage, and retrieval processes.

3. Business Analytics and Insights:

  • Support the monthly reporting cycle to senior stakeholders
  • Category & brand growth & market share forecasting
  • Answer ad-hoc business questions using the best possible datasets available (POS data, Panel Data, external sources…)
  • Understand the Business Opportunities and Challenges, and draw detailed analysis and insights to provide the “story” to aid business objectives
  • Provides guidance to the business to holistically optimize investments (media, pricing,
  • Helps the category teams understanding the health of the business, separating short term and long-term trends/effects.

4. Advanced Analytics and Insights:

  • Marketing Mix Modeling: This involves calculating the ROI of advertisements spend across various channels like television, print, and web. It helps us understand consumer behavior with regard to exposure to advertising
  • Pricing analytics to optimize pricing and maximize profitability.
  • Consumer Insights and Segmentation: focus on understanding consumer behavior, preferences, and trends.
  • Demand Forecasting: Advanced analytics can be used to predict future demand for products based on historical sales data, market trends, and other factors. This helps in optimizing inventory levels and reducing stockouts or overstock situations
  • Customer Journey Analysis: Understanding the path to purchase on Ecommerce & Quick commerce platforms to map out customer journey and identify key touchpoints and pain points
  • Product Launch Benchmarking and Cannibalization: Product Performance Analysis to identify factors critical to new product success
  • Media Effectiveness Analysis: Evaluating the effectiveness of different media channels in driving sales and brand awareness analyzing data from digital and traditional media campaigns to determine the ROI and optimize media spends.

5. Project Management:

  • Lead analytics projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives.
  • Manage project budgets and resources effectively.

6. Market and Competitor Analysis:

  • Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in the CPG & CH sector.
  • Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify opportunities and threats.

7. Stakeholder Communication:

  • Communicate findings and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular project reviews and generate detailed reports Qualifications and skills Essential

  • Ability to develop hypotheses and validate using analytics.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience in FMCG sector and ability to manage multiple projects

  • Strong relationship-building and organizational navigation skills.
