About Transcend 

Transcend is a global business transformation program that will modernize our foundational transactional processes and harmonize them into one clean ERP as a standardized platform for growth and efficiency gains. 

The program will simplify the Pharmaceutical ERP landscape from seven systems to one, standardizing processes to create a cost-effective, fit-for-purpose digital backbone that enables agility and scalability across the business. 

Additionally, Transcend will remediate end-of-life system exposure expected toward the end of this decade, reducing risk while enabling long-term sustainability. 

Role Purpose 

The Functional Deployment Lead – CMMS is accountable for the global deployment of Asset Management and Maintenance capabilities within the Transcend SAP S/4HANA program. This role owns the end-to-end implementation of CMMS-related processes, ensuring alignment with the global process template, regulatory requirements, and SAP Clean Core principles. 
 
As a people manager, this role leads a team of functional SMEs and analysts, owning functional delivery, workload prioritization, and execution quality, while remaining sufficiently hands-on to challenge designs, support testing, and guide issue resolution.

Major Duties & Responsibilities 

Global Functional Ownership & Deployment 

  • Own the global deployment of CMMS capabilities including Asset Register structure, maintenance execution, calibration processes, operations scheduling, reliability methodologies, and integration with maintenance partners. 

  • Lead solution confirmation with Global Template Owners, ensuring consistent and compliant deployment across regions and business units. 

  • Ensure all CMMS solutions adhere to SAP Clean Core principles and regulatory requirements. 

Leadership & Team Management 

  • Directly manage functional SMEs and analysts, owning workload planning, prioritization, and quality of deliverables. 

  • Provide functional leadership and coaching across the domain. 

  • Act as the primary functional escalation point within Transcend deployments. 

Solution Delivery, Testing & Hypercare 

  • Oversee functional design validation, configuration reviews, and integration readiness. 

  • Lead functional execution during testing phases and support validation activities in alignment with GxP and SDLC expectations. 

  • Own functional support during hypercare, ensuring stable operations and issue resolution. 

Cross-Functional Collaboration 

  • Collaborate with other Functional Deployment Leads to ensure end-to-end process integration. 

  • Partner with IT, system integrators, validation, and change management teams. 

Qualifications 

Required 

  • A minimum of six years of professional experience

  • University degree or equivalent experience in a relevant technical or business discipline. 

  • Strong functional expertise within the relevant domain in a GxP-regulated environment. 

  • Proven people management experience with accountability for functional delivery. 

  • Hands-on capability with SAP S/4HANA processes relevant to the domain. 

Preferred 

  • Life Sciences or Pharmaceutical industry experience. 

  • Prior involvement in global ERP transformations. 

Other

  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time both domestically and internationally.

Vacation –120 hours per calendar year

Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays –13 days per calendar year

Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year

Parental Leave – 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child

Bereavement Leave – 240 hours for an immediate family member: 40 hours for an extended family member per calendar year

Caregiver Leave – 80 hours in a 52-week rolling period10 days

Volunteer Leave – 32 hours per calendar year

Military Spouse Time-Off – 80 hours per calendar year

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :

$102,000.00 - $177,100.00
