Ferring+You
You will ensure creation and implementation of the Medical Affairs plan in alignment with the Brand strategy for the therapeutic area (Gastroenterology and Uro-Onclology) to build awareness of Ferring as a preferred and trusted scientific partner internal and external.
Your day at Ferring
Liaises and supports development of key and regional external experts leaders (KEE/REE, e.g. leader of relevant university hospitals) with sales & marketing teams
Provides high quality medical and scientific support / communications to internal and external customers (e.g. advisory board meetings, national/regional training courses/workshops together with KEE/REE, support of speakers with presentations and literature research, local CME presentations, review of promotional materials, internal product trainings, market access activities)
Collects and manages medical insights and maintains high level of scientific and technical expertise in assigned therapeutic areas/products. Develops and increases knowledge of medical literature. Prepares and presents critical reviews of scientific publications and congresses, internally and externally. Attends national and international scientific meetings
Provides timely and informative response to Medical queries from external customers and internal partners, which accurately reflect Medical data
Manages Phase IV studies and IIT and ensures that proposals are aligned with medical objectives within Ferring locally and globally. This includes the whole process according to the SOP. Furthermore, study projects need to be in line with commercial objectives
Involves in strategic planning on medical activities in alignment with marketing strategy
Gather scientific insights from medical congresses, KEE engagement, and competitors, then translate these into business actions to support competitor medical activities and data generation.
Completes necessary documentations in order to ensure knowledge preservation (CRM reports). Use necessary tools to develop and follow up on strategic measures (project plans)
Promote effective working relationships with internal partners
Maintain direct contact with external experts to gather insights and inputs on treatments/TA and develop strong peer-to-peer Medical partnerships with them
Provide input for Brand Plans and Strategies based on analysis of medical literature and other information
Review and assess promotional materials and ask for changes where appropriate. Ensure local applicability and that all claims are fully supported by Medical data, and are presented in an accurate, fair and balance manner.
Responsible for Malaysia, Philippines and Singapore markets.

Doctor of medicine or PhD in Medical Science
Medical doctor with post-graduate training is a plus
Minimum 3-5 years related pharmaceuticals industry experience in one or more related therapeutic fields
Broad knowledge of general medicine
Solid knowledge and experience in Urology & Gastroenterology TA
Multi-year professional experience as Medical Advisor in pharmaceutical industry
Ability to work well independently as well as in a team environment
Fluent knowledge of the English language
Excellent writing and oral communication skills (including presentations)
The position will be based in Malaysia and will be responsible for covering three markets: Malaysia, Singapore and the Philippines
