This role serves as the lead strategic business partner for the US Vice President of Biosimilars & Specialty, and is responsible for driving the timely execution of initiatives across the portfolios. This role ensures the seamless integration of marketing strategies across various products, while optimizing processes, enhancing cross-functional collaboration, and maximizing the impact and efficiency of business/portfolio activities. The director will lead the execution of marketing campaigns, oversee compliance with industry regulations, and manage budgets and resources effectively. The position also involves managing and developing a high-performing marketing activities cross functionally, ensuring that all activities align with corporate objectives and contribute to the growth and success of the product portfolio.These accountabilities are crucial in ensuring that the marketing function is managed efficiently, stays compliant with regulations, and effectively supports the overall business objectives of Sandoz.

Major Accountabilities
Operational Execution
Support the creation of executive business reviews and presentations (business reviews, town hall meetings, ad hoc reviews/presentations, etc.) by managing content creation, timeliness of required inputs, and quality control of final deliverables.
Work with Bio Leadership team and cross functionally to create annual objectives, gain alignment & track them on quarterly basis.
Identify bottlenecks in our processes around sales plans, launch strategy execution, or customer engagement, and drives resolution for the cross functional team.
Key contributor to the planning of key cross functional commercial meetings, including onsite & offsite Bio team townhall and leadership meetings and commercial launch strategy meetings.
Prepare and format information for internal and external distribution. This may include drafting letters and memos, compiling data for reports, creating power point presentations, editing, and proofreading documents.
Commercial Strategy
Partner with the Business Leads and Finance to support TGT, LF1, LF2 & LO timelines
Liaise with Global and US Bio team to support strategic initiatives, objective settings and monthly NALT updates.
Provide ad hoc project management support to VP Bio and/or other functions on new or temporary projects.
Identify and owns strategic initiatives that support annual priorities / objectives as well as drives long term improvements to the Bio function, and in some cases, the full enterprise.
Lead special projects that support the overall sales strategy, including product launches, market expansion initiatives, and partnership development.
Continuous improvement and set clear performance metrics and provide regular feedback to team members.
Ensure compliance with relevant policies, regulations, and industry standards.
Strategic Biosimilars and Specialty Portfolio Planning and Execution:
Develop and execute marketing implementation plan across entire biosimilars and specialty portfolio, ensuring successful realization of brand strategies across all therapeutic areas in alignment with company goals.
Collaborate with brand leads and marketing teams to define and prioritize product-specific marketing initiatives. Oversee biosimilars/specialty portfolio/product marketing tactics necessary to deliver on commercial strategies that will achieve $809M in 2025, projected $1.08B in 2026, and $1.052B in 2027.
Harmonize marketing process and delivery across business units and cross-functionally with commercial, regulatory, and legal partners; activities include business planning, PRC submissions, content development, etc. Provides strategic and operational support to business unit/franchise heads inc. commercial business planning, QBRs, Target deliverables, etc.
Marketing Process Optimization:
Streamline and optimize marketing processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness, from campaign development through execution and reporting, collaborating with Sandoz digital and global teams.
Ensure timely execution of content creation, reviews and pull through to ensure full adherence to regulatory requirements and compliance guidelines in all marketing activities, particularly in the highly regulated pharmaceutical industry. Includes successfully executing real-time initiatives to avoid legal/regulatory/compliance risks.
Design and manage internal workflows, end to end process and tools that ensure harmonization across franchise/BU’s and compliance. Includes project brief development, Purchase Orders, budget management, PRC submission support, etc.
Serve as single liaison between global and local marketing teams to ensure consistency and adaptation of marketing strategies to local market needs; including successful implementation and maintenance of One Sandoz branding, and transitions to global agency approach.
Evaluate, implement, and manage marketing technologies and tools to improve campaign effectiveness, customer engagement, and internal workflows. Training, Technology and Tools Management –manage and serve as local administrator for the marketing technology stack (SCOUT, Pitcher, Veeva PromoMats, etc.) Collaborate with IT to ensure software and applications support and enable business objectives.
Ensure all marketing materials and campaigns meet pharmaceutical industry regulations, including those set by regulatory bodies like the FDA. Develop and implement risk management strategies to address potential compliance or operational issues in marketing activities.
Data and Analytics
Ensure that all programs are tracked, analyzed, and optimized to deliver optimal results and business impact. Communicate results to enable professional development, ensuring continuous learning and sharing amongst the marketing team
On September 30, 2021, Sandoz entered into a 5-year Corporate Integrity Agreement. Key Capabilities Required (Fundamental / Intermediate / Advanced / Thought leader)
Proactive accountability and Process Optimization: Skills in identifying inefficiencies in marketing processes and implementing improvements to enhance productivity and effectiveness.
Technology Proficiency:
Understanding of marketing technology (MarTech) tools, such as CRM systems, marketing automation platforms, and analytics software. Ability to evaluate, implement, and optimize these technologies.
Project Management:
Strong project management skills to oversee marketing initiatives, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget. Familiarity with project management methodologies is beneficial.
Cross-Functional Collaboration and Interpersonal relationships:
Experience in working with cross-functional teams, including local and global team members across commercial and digital/comms etc functions to ensure marketing alignment with overall business objectives.
Campaign Management:
Expertise in planning, executing, and analysing marketing campaigns across various channels (digital, traditional, social media, etc.).
Customer Focus:
Understanding of customer needs and behaviours to create targeted marketing strategies that drive engagement and conversion.

Ideal Background
Education & Experience:
BA / BS in Marketing or related discipline required.
10+ healthcare industry experience required, overall 7+ years of experience in pharmaceuticals and marketing required.
