R75114 Associate Director – LIMS Configuration

We are seeking an Associate Director – LIMS Configuration to partner with System Owners and lead configuration, reporting, instrument integration, and validation activities for Lonza’s laboratory information systems. This role ensures data integrity, compliance with GxP standards, and efficiency in laboratory operations, with a strong focus on LabVantage LIMS.
Job Summary
As a Senior LIMS Configuration Specialist, you will be responsible for guiding configuration, reporting, and instrument integration activities while ensuring validation and compliance. You will maintain and update documentation to meet GxP regulatory standards and support laboratory workflows through system enhancements and support activities.
Key Responsibilities
- System Configuration & Development: Lead configuration and interface development for LabVantage LIMS; support enhancements and integrations.
- Validation & Compliance: Guide validation activities, ensuring compliance with GxP, data integrity, and CSV requirements.
- Reporting & Analytics: Develop and maintain reporting tools (Jasper, Crystal Reports) to support laboratory operations.
- Database Management: Utilize SQL/MS SQL for system configuration, reporting, and troubleshooting.
- Documentation & SOPs: Maintain and update technical documentation, SOPs, and training materials.
- Collaboration: Partner with System Owners, laboratory teams, and IT stakeholders to ensure system alignment with business needs.
- Service Management: Apply ITIL processes to manage incidents, system availability, and support activities.
Key Requirements
Domain Expertise
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of IT experience with pharma laboratory applications (LIMS, LES, ELN).
- Strong experience with LabVantage LIMS configuration and interface development.
- Software development experience with Java and/or Groovy.
- Experience with reporting technologies such as Jasper or Crystal Reports.
- Database & SQL knowledge (MS SQL).
- Understanding of GxP, data integrity, and computer system validation requirements.
- Experience writing and updating technical documentation, SOPs, and training materials.
- Knowledge of ITIL processes.
