Your Key Responsibilities:

As a Finance Manager Bosnia-Herzegovina, you will provide the business within a country with complex analysis, reporting, forecasts etc. and manage a small team.

Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Planning:

Manage, coordinate, and consolidate timely, accurate and well supported Plans/LO’s/LF's for all P&L lines, aligned with the guidance from Regional and Cluster teams

Continuously assess product profitability and recommend appropriate actions. Perform financial assessment of new launches and initiatives

Provide support and high-quality analysis to the CFO, Country Head and other SEC members for planning, actuals and ad-hoc financial requests. Advise Regional management in areas of profit maximization and resource allocation.

Reporting:

Lead the monthly YTD and FY analysis and provide clear and concise commentary with proper variance analysis to the management. Capture risks and opportunities in forecasts, actively raise recommendations and pinpoint gaps to existing forecasts

Cost control and assurance that there is not significant variance vs. budget. Preparing of monthly reports for operational expenses with special focus on marketing spent.

Review monthly closing process, including reconciliations and analysis of related accounts, ensuring compliance with internal policies and that company performance is in line with approved budgets

Support fiscal period close processes, statutory financial reporting, internal controls and tax reporting, ensuring that company financial statements & reports are accurate and in line with GAAP

Coordinate verifying and authorizing sales adjustment journal entries (provisions, accruals, credit/debit notes, etc) based on appropriate documents and evidence.

Compliance and control:

Design and implement risk management processes, financial compliance and controls (Business Process Controls [BPC], Internal and External Audits, financial regulatory topics) and supports mitigation activities in case of internal control deficiencies.

Actively participate in monthly Finance reconciliation and S&OP process with the local affiliate teams

Overseeing tender processing and support into providing bidding prices

Assuring that all relevant SOPs are followed. Lead process of financial SOPs update when needed.

Strategy and business partnership:

Manage the execution of regional / global strategies and projects, and assure they are implemented locally in line with local business needs and local legislation

Manage relationship with distributors with a focus on commercial contract terms, pricing, compensation, logistical issues, SIT and payment terms.

Run periodical customer reconciliations making necessary adjustments (e.g. issuing debit/credit notes)

Cost control - take the lead, identify gaps and make proposal regarding development of expense monitoring in order to achieve high accuracy rates and appropriate resource allocation.

People management and performance:

Identify back-office organizational goals, establish baseline metrics and monitor performance

Supervise and develop finance and administrative staff. Manage employee skills and competency development. Develop employee career plans and career paths and ensure succession plans are in place

Essential Requirements:

  • University degree (ideally in Management/ Economics)
  • At least 3 years of experience in financial planning and reporting (including budgeting and financial analysis)
  • Expertise in financial matters. Bosnian taxation and IFRS knowledge would be considered as an advantage
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, Power point, Word)
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills
  • Preferred location Sarajevo, additional locations Skopje and Belgrade
  • Fluency in English and Bosnian (both written and spoken)
