In line with overall business strategy, the Medical Advisor is responsible for the design, implementation and execution of Medical Affairs (MA) Plan(s) for assigned Therapy Area(s), providing scientific expertise, co-driving with MA strategy, driving scientific operations and medical governance, building educational dialogue with KOLs and regulatory stakeholders in the context of impactful engagement.
Major accountabilities:

  • Strategically prepare the market for the launch of the drugs (biosimilars & generics) and the related indications and ensure support to brand(s), through insights analysis, medical activities, medical operations and governance support, patient support programs (PSP), medical information sharing and dissemination within the scientific community and Medical Experts.
  • Provide high level of scientific exchange, encompassing all medical initiatives according to the local/global medical affairs plan along with co-driving and implementing efficiently and effectively local brand strategy and own related medical budget.
  • Core member of the Brand Teams in any scientific-related matters, disease and product-related strategy and tactics.
  • Establish and lead strategic scientific partnerships with healthcare professionals, key external experts, patient organizations, scientific societies, as well as other relevant stakeholders, to craft the external environment.
  • Integrating field-based medical responsibilities, acting as subject matter expert and medical customer engagement specialist in the assigned therapy area(s). 
  • Responsible for owning and maintaining key Medical Affairs processes, guidelines, forms and tools (Medical Information, SOPs, RMPs, grants, local HTA assessments’ medical content, promo/non-promo materials, vendors, partners) and delivering high quality training to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement through collaboration and alignment with relevant cross-functional stakeholders at local (L&C, RA, PV) and regional (procurement, data privacy, TPRM) level.
  • Develop and implement Patient Association Groups (PAGs) strategy and engagement.
  • Represent Medical Department at local and regional Medical Congresses.

Minimum Requirements

  • BSc Degree in scientific or healthcare discipline or equivalent – MD/PhD will be desirable.
  • At least 3years pharmaceutical industry experience in Medical Affairs and/or relevant scientific research experience with publications; including projects at local, cross-functional and regional level is required and more than 5 years’ experience in the health care sector.
  • Prior experience and knowledge of CVM and CNS will be considered a strong asset.
  • Solid business acumen and healthcare business landscape knowledge.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and foster peer-to-peer, credible relationships with external stakeholders.
  • Strong ownership and accountability skills.
  • Strong strategic and analytical thinking within cross-functional and regulatory setting, problem solving ability.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal, communication, presentation and scientific writing skills.
  • Corporate cultural competencies and high ethical standards.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and development.
  • Proficient in both written and spoken English.
