About the Role:
Serves as the primary alliance manager for assigned partnerships, accountable for driving alliance performance, governance, and cross-functional execution. Leads strategic and operational alignment across internal and external stakeholders to ensure achievement of collaboration objectives, proactively identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies._
Your Contributions (include, but are not limited to):
Own end-to-end alliance management for 2–4 strategic partnerships, ensuring delivery against contractual, operational, and business objectives
Lead alliance governance, including Joint Steering Committees and cross-functional working groups, shaping agendas, driving decision-making, and ensuring alignment on key priorities and risks
Influence and align cross-functional stakeholders (R&D, Legal, Finance, Clinical, Regulatory, CMC) to drive execution of alliance deliverables and resolve complex issues
Identify, assess, and resolve complex operational and relational challenges within alliances, balancing partner needs with internal priorities
Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and alliance agreements
Drive accountability for alliance deliverables, ensuring timely execution of commitments and visibility to key milestones, risks, and performance metrics
Lead initiatives to enhance alliance management processes, tools, and best practices, contributing to increased efficiency and effectiveness across partnerships
Contribute to alliance strategy and long-term planning by providing insights on partnership performance, risks, and opportunities
Prepare alliance status updates and reports

Requirements:
BS/BA degree in a scientific or business field and 6+ years of experience in a biotechnology/pharmaceutical scientific or alliance management-based role
Master’s degree in a scientific or business field and 4+ years similar experience noted above
PhD and 2+ years similar experience noted above
High attention to detail in all aspects of work
Demonstrated success working with PowerPoint, Excel, and the Microsoft suite
Easily adapts to a variety of technology and collaboration tools
Ability to work as part of a team both as a contributor and as a leader
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Good problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
Comfortable handling complex relationships and resolving conflict
Ability to meet deadlines and communicate proactively when delays occur
Good project management skills
Demonstrated functional expertise working in a biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry role with expertise in a scientific discipline, business development, or alliance management function
Demonstrated ability to operate as a cross-functional leader and trusted partner across internal and external stakeholders
Ability to anticipate risks, identify opportunities, and recommend solutions that impact alliance success
Experience working with contracts and knowledge of legal terminology.
Working knowledge of small molecule and biologics drug discovery and development
Experience collaborating with global teams
Understanding of accounting and finance principles

The annual base salary we reasonably expect to pay is $132,700.00-$182,000.00. Individual pay decisions depend on various factors, such as primary work location, complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 30% of the earned base salary and eligibility to participate in our equity based long term incentive program.
