Job Description Summary
As Head of Sales – Hospital, you will provide strategic and people leadership for our hospital sales organisation, driving performance across a defined pharmaceutical portfolio. You will be accountable for achieving agreed sales targets, leading and developing a high performing team, and ensuring strong execution across the hospital channel in a rapidly evolving healthcare environment.This role is critical in shaping commercial success, strengthening customer partnerships, and supporting prelaunch and lifecycle management activities.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Provide strategic and people leadership to build and develop a high performing hospital sales team.
Own and deliver sales performance, including targets, forecasts, and budgets across the hospital portfolio.
Define and execute the hospital channel strategy aligned with national commercial priorities.
Lead prelaunch planning and execution and support ongoing lifecycle management of products.
Build deep market insight and maintain strong relationships with hospital stakeholders and decisionmakers.
Drive commercial excellence, accountability, and a strong culture of compliance and ethics.
Lead change and adapt strategy in response to evolving healthcare and pharmaceutical dynamics.
Partner closely with marketing, medical, market access, supply, and other cross functional teams to maximise outcomes.
What You’ll Bring
Extensive experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, or related commercial sales roles, with proven senior people leadership responsibility.
Strong understanding of the hospital environment and the changing dynamics of the pharmaceutical industry.
Demonstrated success in leading sales teams and delivering performance across complex portfolios.
Experience supporting or leading prelaunch activities is highly desirable.
Strong analytical capability and financial literacy to support sound commercial decision making.
Proven coaching, mentoring, and leadership skills with the ability to develop high performing teams.
Excellent influencing, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
High standards of compliance, ethics, and professional integrity.
Ability to manage complexity, solve problems, and lead effectively through change.
