Thermo-LIMS - SAP Data Specialist
Location: Hyderabad, India

Join our global team to bridge the gap between Quality Control, IT, and Supply Chain. In this role, you will manage and harmonize critical integration data between Lonza’s Laboratory Information Management System (Thermo-LIMS) and SAP, safeguarding regulatory compliance and data integrity across our manufacturing network.
This is an office‑first role. Working together in person supports close, real‑time collaboration and team alignment, enabling us to deliver our best work. You will work primarily in the office, with the flexibility to work remotely for 20% of your time (one day per week).

What you will do:
Optimize System Integration: Review and approve technical specifications, templates, analyses, and test plans to guarantee a flawless data link between LIMS and SAP.
Manage Master Data Configuration: Configure and link new or modified materials within LIMS to ensure seamless integration with broader SAP systems (including EHS, EWM, and ERP).
Develop Technical Solutions: Design, write, and validate complex LIMS calculations and SQL-based queries to support reliable automated laboratory workflows.
Support Operational Workflows: Oversee critical batch releases, update inspection lots, manage shelf-life data adjustments, and maintain GRT/AID data structures.
Provide Global Technical Support: Act as the first- and second-level technical support contact for system users, aligning availability to cover European time zone operations.
Troubleshoot & Resolve Issues: Promptly investigate and resolve cross-functional discrepancies related to sample management, analysis results, and integration faults.
Uphold Regulatory Standards: Ensure absolute adherence to strict cGMP and Data Integrity policies across all daily tasks, software configurations, and documentation.
What we are looking for:
Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience working within Supply Chain Management (SCM), IT, or QC/QA Pharma environments under rigorous cGMP guidelines.
Technical System Expertise: Deep operational knowledge of SAP platforms alongside advanced LIMS environments (such as Thermo Fisher SampleManager, LabWare, or STARLIMS) and relational SQL querying.
Education: A background built upon a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in analytical chemistry, chemistry, biology, or a related scientific field. Alternatively, a combination of 3+ years of advanced technical training paired with strong QC baseline knowledge.
Software Familiarity: Practical experience navigating specialized pharmaceutical and laboratory software infrastructure (such as Documentum, TrackWise, and CisWeb).
Language Skills: Business fluent proficiency in German is required to support designated regional operations; business fluent proficiency in English is preferred.
Core Competencies: A highly collaborative and agile professional who thrives in multitasking environments, possesses basic logistics insight, and demonstrates strong customer focus.
