Key Responsibilities
• Execute process development activities to support project delivery in line with quality, timeline and customer requirements
• Design and perform experimental work for route development, optimization, scale‑up and robustness improvement
• Identify and solve technical challenges during development and manufacturing support
• Prepare high‑quality technical reports and documentation in compliance with Lonza standards
• Communicate project progress, results and risks effectively within cross‑functional teams and to stakeholders
• Support manufacturing, DSP and tech transfer activities, including preparation of development and transfer documentation
• Participate in deviation investigations and CAPA activities as required
• Ensure compliance with EHS, GMP and 5S requirements in daily laboratory work
Qualifications
• Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Chemistry or related discipline
• Strong background in synthetic organic chemistry, including reaction mechanisms and multi‑step synthesis
• Solid experience in process development and/or scale‑up within pharmaceutical or chemical industry
• Experience in Downstream Purification (DSP) projects is a strong advantage and will be considered during assessment
• Good scientific problem‑solving skills and strong attention to data quality and documentation
• Effective communication and presentation skills
• Proficient in written and spoken English; bilingual documentation capability is a plus
