Job Description Summary

The Finance Master Data Owner manages and governs Finance master data across enterprise wide Sandoz processes, ensuring data integrity, quality, governance, and compliance with internal standards and external regulatory requirements.

Major accountabilities: 

• Own the Finance master data governance framework and global standards aligned with Sandoz policies.

  ·       

• Oversee and continuously improve Finance master data processes to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance across ERP/ Finance/ analytics platforms.

  ·       

• Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to define, enforce, and evolve data standards and stewardship roles.

  ·       

• Monitor and report data quality (completeness, validity, consistency); drive corrective actions and preventive improvements.

  ·       

• Lead data cleansing and enrichment initiatives; measure impact on data reliability and downstream processes.

  ·       

• Provide training and guidance to users and data stewards on governance processes, tools, and best practices.

  ·       

• Serve as the bridge between IT and business during transformations, migrations, and integrations to safeguard data design and controls.

  ·       

• Conduct regular audits/assessments to ensure adherence to governance policies and regulatory requirements (e.g., privacy).

  ·       

• Drive continuous improvement and automation to enhance master data lifecycle efficiency and control effectiveness.

• Data Accuracy & Integrity: High accuracy and consistency of Finance master data across systems.

• Governance Compliance: Adherence to Sandoz standards and applicable regulatory requirements.

• Process Efficiency: Timely execution of creation, updates, and lifecycle changes.

• Project Delivery: Successful completion of migration/integration activities within agreed timelines.

• Risk Management: Proactive identification and mitigation of Finance master data risks.

Minimum Requirements: 
Work Experience:

• 10+ years overall SAP experience, with 5+ years in SAP MDG architecture and SAP MDG for Finance (MDG-F).

  ·      

•   Experience with S/4HANA (on-prem or cloud), BRF+, workflows, and Fiori UI

  ·        Proven experience with BADIs, data migration, data governance and Integration with SAP and non-SAP systems.

• Advanced analytical and problem‑solving skills focused on data accuracy and process optimization.

• Proficient in SQL, Excel, and data analysis methodologies.

• Solid understanding of data governance principles, controls, and best practices.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across organizational levels.

  • Good to have:

    • SAP S4HANA, SAP MDG experience.

    • Professional certifications in SAP MDG / Data Governance.
