Job Description
Gilead's mission is to discover, develop, and deliver therapies that will improve the lives of patients with life-threatening illnesses worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
Ability to manage and lead special projects as needed. Remain flexible and adaptive to changing business requirements and processes.
Review and approve Medicaid and ADAP invoice submissions, price lists and contract updates within an appropriate timeframe to ensure data is accurate to allow Gilead to properly process and pay on time.
Create, drive and analyze day-to-day operational reports and metrics to ensure adherence to statutory and contractual services levels, identify/communicate trends.
Collaborate internally and with state Medicaid agencies or their intermediaries to resolve disputes in a timely manner.
Act as a subject matter expert and technical resource on rebating system/tools (Model N, SAP, Tableau)
Support the development and maintenance of policies, standard operating procedures and work instructions to ensure compliance and consistency.
Effectively interact with various key internal and external stakeholders (i.e. Customers, Account managers, Strategy and Analytics, FP&A, A/P, legal, 3rd party consultants, etc.)
Work collaboratively with the team to accomplish departmental goals.
Participate in internal and external audits, when needed, to demonstrate compliance with policies, laws and.
Collaborate with Associate Director to create and maintain a prioritized list of needs for each business segment, working to outline specific data needs for each business method and analysis project.
Support team with general customer service inquiries and problem solving supervise routing of questions to appropriate resources.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of relevant experience; OR
Masters' degree and 6+ years of relevant experience; OR
PhD and 2+ years of relevant experience
Relevant experience in biotech, pharmaceutical or the healthcare industry
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills are required to ensure ability to interact with all levels of internal and external stakeholders.
Proven analytical experience and critical thinking skills are required.
Proven ability to manage, prioritize and understand the rebate payment process across Medicaid (FFS and MCO), Medicaid Supplemental, State Pharmaceutical Assistance Program and AIDS Drug Assistance Program, with limited supervision to meet deadlines and exercise sound judgements in a fast-paced environment.
Operations experience and customer service skills are required with an emphasis on time management, prompt follow-through, and being proactive.
Working knowledge of various claim processing principles, documentation requirements, and processing systems is required.
Basic knowledge of Model N and SAP is preferred but not required.
Knowledge of Medicaid, 340B, PBMs, and pharmacy business is a plus.
Data management skills and ability to analyze information to properly communicate relevant data to both internal and external stakeholders are required.
Demonstrate decision making skills, ability to work collaboratively in a team structure, as well as ability to problem solve and troubleshoot issues by self with minimum guidance is required.
Demonstrate understanding and interpretation of contract language.
Effectively develop solutions to complex problems with minimal tools and guidance.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is required.
Basic knowledge of Tableau is preferred.
