We are seeking a motivated Senior Lab Assistant to support routine laboratory testing and daily operations. This role is responsible for planning and executing lab activities in the responsible industries, including running e.g., enzyme activity analyses, application tests for customers, PoC tests on new application developments. The position offers an excellent opportunity for professionals to build hands-on laboratory experience while contributing to team objectives.

Key Responsibilities
Impact & Execution
- Running/designing lab trials to evaluate enzyme performance (& stability) in the relevant applications. Expected to design and run trials together with TSM/ITS of reporting line and/or with customers.
- Support/run joint trials with customers onsite at NZJP TS lab (Customer co-creation). This may include doing/developing applications tests and/or ‘Demos’ in front of customers.
- Running tests at external labs (customer sites and/or external institute/labs)
- Using Novozymes ‘Electronic Lab Note’ system (Benchling) to record lab tests, manage test data and prepare test reports.
Communication & Documentation
- Coordinating with the Account Team of the relevant industry to plan activities.
- Assisting ITS for customer presentations and build networking skills.
- Connecting with global TS team to share good practices developed and/or to troubleshoot issues faced in daily activities.
- Supporting other industry’s TS team for specific projects.
- Supporting value proposition and producing technical data for making promotional materials.
Lab management:
- Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with the quality and safety guidelines of NZJP TS
- Managing lab facility, equipment, consumables as an active member of NZJP TS lab.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (e.g. Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry)
- With 5 years’ working experience in TS lab or in external labs with similar activities
Skills & Competencies
- Computer skills with willingness to learn new digital tools
- Fluent written English, Oral English communication skill would be an advantage.
- Work full-time (5 days / week)
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and develop technical expertise
