Job Description:

We are seeking a junior payroll coordinator (12-months fixed term) to support payroll operations.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Payroll Processing: Prepare and distribute employee pay, including calculating wage, allowances and deductions. Maintain the confidentiality and integrity of sensitive payroll data. Assist in the preparation and processing of monthly payroll for ANZ employees, ensuring timely and accurate payments.

  • Data Entry & Maintenance: Maintaining accurate payroll records, including updating employee details, pay rates, tax files, and organizational structures.

  • Employee Queries: Acting as a primary contact for payroll-related inquiries, managing staff queries professionally, and providing customer service.

  • Onboarding/Offboarding: Processing new starters, employee changes, and assisting with termination calculations.

  • Compliance & Reporting: Assisting with superannuation calculations, PAYG tax, and providing support for month-end reporting and reconciliation.

About You

  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in payroll.

  • Systems Knowledge: Proficiency in MS Excel and experience with payroll software.

  • Key Skills: Strong attention to detail, high-level numerical aptitude, effective communication, collaborative team player with the ability to build quality working relationships, ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively, especially during payroll cycles.
