Job Summary
The Domain Solution Architect – Drug Development designs and supports technology solutions across the pharmaceutical R&D lifecycle. This role ensures that digital solutions align with business needs, architectural standards, and regulatory requirements to enable efficient, compliant, and data‑driven drug development.
Working closely with R&D, Clinical, Regulatory, and IT stakeholders, you will translate scientific and operational needs into scalable solution architectures spanning non‑clinical research, clinical development, regulatory submission support, and R&D platforms (e.g. Veeva Vault, LIMS).
Key Responsibilities
- Define and document solution architectures supporting drug development and regulatory domains
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards (e.g. GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, data integrity)
- Apply architecture patterns and integration principles to enable interoperable, reusable solutions
- Contribute to domain architecture roadmaps and architectural standards
- Support adoption of digital and data‑driven capabilities, including analytics and automation
- Collaborate across global, cross‑functional teams and vendors
Required Experience & Skills
- Experience in solution or domain architecture within pharma or life sciences R&D
- Strong understanding of drug development processes and supporting systems
- Proven delivery experience in regulated environments
- Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g. TOGAF)
- Strong stakeholder engagement, influencing, and consulting skills
- Comfortable working in complex, evolving, and highly regulated contexts
