About Role
The Senior Manager, Direct Contract, Market Insights, Should Cost models, part of the Global Direct Materials Procurement organization, will be responsible for shaping sourcing strategies through deep market intelligence, advances cost modelling & contracting insights. You will act as a key enabler for value creation, risk mitigation and data-driven decision making across global procurement activities.
In this role you will…
… Develop and lead should cost models to drive fact-based negotiations and identify cost optimization opportunities. You will provide market insights on key raw materials, packaging components and supply markets by anticipating market trends, risks and disruptions proactively advising internal stakeholders.
Role Responsibilities
Build, maintain and continously improve should-cost models incorporating raw materials, energy, labour, conversion costs, logistics..)
Conduct maket analysys including- demand dynamics, price forecasting and benchmarking.
Lead cost breakdown analysis to challenge supplier pricing and identify negotiation levers.
Identify supply chain risk example: inflation, geopolitical factors, capacity constraints and create scenrio-based planning supporting Haleon buisness modeling.
Develop tools, dashboards and frameworks to scale insights across regions and categories
Establish best practise and governance for cost modeling and market intelligence.
Own and drive Directs Contracts Governance across Global Directs & Capital pilar, ensuring complaince and full visibility of the contracts by maintaining up-to-date view of contracts coverage within repository and systamatic follow ups on contracts performance.
Identify and mitigate risks related to contract gaps or expirations.
Playing a key role within Global Contract Aproval forum – safeguarding presented cotract have all necesarry inputs to make an appropriate decision on it’s approval.
Benefit delivery
Drive cost breakdown analysys to support sourcing teams in their negotiations with external partners to drice tangible cost benefits.
Support contract structuring with fact-based pricing mechanisms and indexation models to rpvide best cost optimisation for Haleon.
Business partnering & stakeholder management in Haleon
Partnering with Global Category Teams and Ous responsible for Raw Materials, packaging and CAPEX following finance partners.
External suppliers and market intelligence providers.
Senior stakeholders across organization to influence decision making.
Supply chain & risk management
Transform the supply chain to release value and make Haleon more responsive to business and customer needs
Basic Skills (Essential):
Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Marketing or related field
3+ years of operational procurement experience
Strong understanding of external environment, including supplier relationship models
Solid understanding of cost drivers across supply chains
Clear understanding of business value, priorities, and implementation risks
Experience working in matrix (global/regional) business environments
Ability to manage multiple priorities across projects using project management skills
Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder influencing skills
Ability to work effectively in high-pressure, deadline-driven environments
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of should-cost modelling and market intelligence tools
Strong networking skills and ability to build collaborative stakeholder relationships
Experience in procurement risk management
