Do you want to play a key role in shaping how data enables better decisions across a global organization? As our Senior Master Data Specialist, you will sit at the intersection of business, technology, and governance—helping ensure that high‑quality master data supports Novonesis’ strategic ambitions. You will work closely with stakeholders across functions and geographies, contributing to transformation initiatives that make a real, measurable impact.

The Role & Your Impact

This is a senior, strategically oriented role with significant influence across the organization. You will take ownership of complex master data processes, lead transformation initiatives, and ensure that governance frameworks enable scalable, reliable, and compliant data usage.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading modernization and transformation initiatives within master data management tools, processes, and practices.
  • Driving process optimization and automation across master data workflows.
  • Ensuring master data readiness and stability during system transformations and enterprise‑wide projects.
  • Managing high‑impact master data projects in close collaboration with IT and business stakeholders.
  • Establishing and enforcing governance standards to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity.
  • Acting as a strategic partner to business stakeholders, translating data governance into business value.

What You’ll Need to Be Successful

To thrive in this role, you bring solid experience, strong leadership capabilities, and a structured approach to change and governance.

Must‑have qualifications include:

  • A Master’s degree in Business Administration, Data Management, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in hands on master data management, project management, or closely related areas.
  • Extensive hands‑on experience with ERP, CRM, or MDM systems (e.g. SAP, Salesforce).
  • Strong understanding of data governance principles and change management methodologies.
  • Proven ability to lead complex initiatives and collaborate across functions and seniority levels.
  • Advanced knowledge of one or more master data domains (customer, supplier, product, financial).

Additional Skills & Interests We Value

Experience working in a global or matrixed organization is an advantage, particularly if you are comfortable navigating complex stakeholder landscapes. Exposure to large‑scale system implementations or enterprise transformation initiatives will be beneficial, as will an interest in emerging trends within master data management, data governance, and related technologies. Experience mentoring or coaching colleagues is also valued, especially if you enjoy contributing to capability building within a data‑focused or IT‑related function.

What We Offer

At Novonesis, you will join a collaborative and purpose‑driven organization where your expertise is valued and your impact is visible. You will have the opportunity to influence enterprise‑wide data strategy and transformation initiatives while working in a professional environment characterized by strong cross‑functional collaboration. We support continuous learning and development, enabling you to grow both your technical expertise and leadership capabilities, and we foster a culture that emphasizes accountability, ownership, and knowledge sharing.

Ways of Working / Working Conditions

This is a role with a flexible working setup, combining office and hybrid ways of working depending on role requirements and collaboration needs. You will work closely with global stakeholders, and some travel may be required in connection with major projects or initiatives.
