Role Purpose
The IDMC Quality & Documentation Specialist is a key member of the Enterprise Data Management team, responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and compliance of Informatica Cloud (IDMC) solutions through robust testing and documentation practices.
This role provides technical leadership across testing strategy, automation, and validation, with a strong focus on data quality rules and regulatory compliance. The specialist works closely with development teams, business stakeholders, and service partners to coordinate testing activities, manage testing services, and ensure solutions meet both technical and business requirements.
Key responsibilities:
Testing Management:
Develop and implement comprehensive testing strategies for Informatica Cloud (IDMC) solutions, focusing on both manual and automated testing.
Ensure the quality and reliability of data integration processes through rigorous testing methodologies.
Coordinate testing activities across teams, ensuring alignment to delivery plans and environments.
Partner with development teams to identify, document, and resolve defects efficiently.
Testing Automation:
Design and implement automation frameworks to streamline testing processes and improve efficiency.
Leverage automation tools to enhance the testing lifecycle and reduce manual intervention.
Continuously improve automation practices in line with platform and industry capabilities
Documentation:
Create and maintain clear, complete, and auditable documentation of testing processes, test cases, results, and standards.
Ensure all documentation is current, accessible, and aligned to enterprise and regulatory requirements (e.g. GxP, PII).
Support audit and inspection readiness by maintaining traceable evidence for DQ rules, mappings, workflows, approvals, and validations
Data Quality Validation (Technical)
Develop and execute test cases for Data Quality (DQ) rules implemented in Informatica Cloud Data Quality (ICDQ).
Validate DQ rule logic, thresholds, transformations, exception handling, and cleansing routines.
Perform unit, system, and regression testing for DQ rules across IDMC mappings, mapplets, and integration tasks.
Execute end-to-end test cycles covering:
Rejection logic
Suspense/error queue handling
Automated notifications
Record cleansing and enrichment routines
Ensure consistent DQ rule behaviour across DEV, QA, and PROD environments, validating migration and deployment steps.
Stakeholder & Service Management
Engage with business and technical stakeholders to understand testing requirements and align plans to business objectives.
Communicate testing status, risks, and results clearly to manage expectations.
Oversee testing services delivered by internal or external teams, ensuring compliance with service level agreements (SLAs).
Apply ITIL-aligned practices to improve service quality and operational support.
Technical Expertise & Continuous Improvement
Maintain strong awareness of IDMC testing, automation, and data quality capabilities.
Provide expert support in troubleshooting complex testing and validation issues.
Contribute to continuous improvement of EDM quality, testing, and documentation practices
Qualifications & Skills:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
Informatica Cloud (IDMC) DATA GOVERNANCE Certification
ITIL Certification.
Strong understanding of test management principles and best practices.
Automation testing in informatica IDMC
Proficiency on documentations and processes for GxP, PII, etc. compliance
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Proficient in stakeholder management and communication.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Ability to speak and write English.
Analytical ability to diagnose problems and to develop practical solutions.
Good communication skills, both interpersonal and presentation.
Able to interact with and influence individuals.
Able to work effectively in a matrix organization across geographies and cultures.
Practical understanding of GxP documentation requirements for validation of DQ rules and workflows.
Ability to design test scripts for complex DQ logic, including multi-field rules, conditional validations, cross-table checks, and custom transformations.
Experience Required:
Minimum of 10 years of experience in Testing and documentations, with a focus on Informatica Cloud (IDMC).
Proven experience in Testing Specialist with a focus on Informatica Cloud (IDMC) testing and automation
Experience operating within regulated environments, including understanding validation, quality, and compliance standards
Understanding of the Haleon Quality System and validation requirements, policies, procedures, and standards
