Role Description
The IDMC Administration, Infrastructure and Release Management Specialist is a critical member of the Enterprise Data Management (EDM) team, responsible for the administration, stability, and controlled release of Informatica Cloud (IDMC) platforms and services.
This role provides senior operational and technical leadership across IDMC environment management, infrastructure oversight, and release coordination. The specialist ensures that IDMC platforms are secure, resilient, performant, and compliant, while enabling efficient and low‑risk delivery of enhancements and changes. Strong stakeholder engagement and service management discipline are key to success in this role
Key responsibilities:
IDMC Administration & Platform Operations
Administer and maintain Informatica Cloud (IDMC) environments, ensuring high availability, reliability, and performance.
Manage IDMC platform configuration, patching, access controls, and operational readiness.
Support disaster recovery, resilience planning, and environment stability, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards.
Proactively monitor platform health and address operational risks before they impact service delivery.
Infrastructure Management
Oversee infrastructure components supporting IDMC operations, including servers, databases, and network connectivity.
Coordinate with infrastructure and security teams to ensure platforms meet security, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
Apply environment management best practices across multiple IDMC instances (DEV, QA, PROD).
Release & Deployment Management
Define and own release management processes for IDMC, ensuring structured, auditable, and low‑risk deployments.
Plan, coordinate, and execute releases in collaboration with development, data engineering, and operations teams.
Manage release calendars, cutover activities, and rollback procedures to minimise disruption.
Support CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes using source control and IDMC APIs.
Service Management
Apply ITIL best practices across incident, problem, change, and release management.
Serve as a senior escalation point for IDMC platform and release‑related issues.
Ensure IDMC services meet defined service levels and operational expectations.
Stakeholder Engagement
Work closely with business and technical stakeholders to align platform operations and releases with business priorities.
Act as the primary point of contact for IDMC administration, infrastructure, and release‑related queries.
Communicate clearly on release impacts, risks, and mitigation plans.
Continuous Improvement
Identify opportunities to improve platform stability, efficiency, automation, and operational controls.
Stay current with IDMC platform enhancements, administration capabilities, and industry best practices.
Contribute to the continuous maturity of EDM platform operations and service delivery.
Qualifications & Skills:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
ITIL Certification.
Informatica Cloud (IDMC) Administration Certification
Strong understanding of IDMC Administration, Infrastructure and Release Management Specialist principles and best practices.
IDMC patching, disaster recovery
Linux and shell scripts
IDMC release management with best practices
IDMC CI/D using Source control integration (Git), use of Azure DevOps or GitHub for automation, IDMC rest APIs for checkin/out and pull code, code promotion flow
Informatica transformation language
XQuery functions and usage of them in IDMC
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Proficient in stakeholder management and communication.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Ability to speak and write English.
Analytical ability to diagnose problems and to develop practical solutions.
Good communication skills, both interpersonal and presentation.
Able to interact with and influence individuals.
Able to work effectively in a matrix organization across geographies and cultures.
Experience Required:
Minimum of 10 years of experience in IDMC Administration, Infrastructure and Release Management Specialist, with a focus on Informatica Cloud (IDMC).
Understanding of the Haleon Quality System and validation requirements, policies, procedures, and standards.
