Role Purpose
The IDMC Master Data Management Senior Analyst plays a critical role within the Enterprise Data Management (EDM) team, responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing operation of Master Data Management (MDM) solutions built on Informatica Cloud (IDMC).
This role partners closely with MDM Functional Managers, business stakeholders, and technical teams to translate data requirements into robust, scalable MDM solutions. The Senior Analyst owns key aspects of IDMC MDM design standards, platform configuration, and service delivery, ensuring data integrity, performance, and regulatory compliance across the enterprise
Key responsibilities:
MDM Strategy, Design & Implementation
Lead the design, build, and maintenance of Informatica Cloud (IDMC) MDM solutions.
Define and own IDMC MDM design standards, patterns, and best practices to ensure consistency, scalability, and platform alignment.
Work with cross‑functional teams to deliver a fully integrated IDMC platform aligned to enterprise architecture principles.
Design and implement extensible business entity data models, including complex hierarchies and relationships.
MDM Configuration & Data Governance
Configure and maintain key MDM capabilities including:
Match and merge logic, survivorship, and trust rules
Data stewardship workflows for governance, reviews, and exception handling
MDM data quality (DQ) rules using Informatica Cloud Data Quality (ICDQ)
Develop and execute data model changes, MDM workflows, role configurations, and DQ logic.
Perform validation of data integration, mappings, matching rules, and DQ rules to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Support audit readiness by ensuring all designs, configurations, approvals, and validation artefacts are documented, traceable, and compliant.
Integration & Orchestration
Design and build high‑performance integrations using:
Cloud Data Integration (CDI) for batch and operational data flows
Cloud Application Integration (CAI) for real-time, event‑driven integrations
Build and maintain API‑based integrations (REST/SOAP) to synchronise MDM data with operational systems such as SAP, Salesforce, and other enterprise platforms.
Leverage IDMC REST APIs for automation and advanced platform interaction.
Service Management & Operations
Oversee day‑to‑day operation of MDM services, ensuring availability, performance, and stability.
Apply ITIL best practices across incident, problem, and change management.
Act as a senior technical escalation point for MDM‑related issues.
Continuous Improvement & Leadership
Identify opportunities to improve MDM processes, performance, and platform efficiency.
Stay current with IDMC, MDM, and integration technology trends, applying enhancements where appropriate.
Provide technical leadership, guidance, and knowledge sharing within the EDM and wider data community
Qualifications & Skills:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
Informatica Cloud (IDMC) MDM Certification
ITIL Certification.
Core MDM SaaS Configurations
Business Entity Modelling i.e. expertise in designing extendible data models including complex hierarchies and relationships
Match & Merge Logic i.e. configuration of match rules, tuning and defining survivorship/trust rules
Data stewardship workflows i.e. designing and implementing governance workflows for reviews and exception handling
Integration & Orchestration
CDI (Cloud data integration) Building high performance ingress/egress jobs using Informatica connections with source and target systems
CAI (Cloud application integration) Building real time, event driven integrations using APIs (REST/SOAP) to sync MDM data with operational systems like SAP or Salesforce
Proficiency in Python, SQL and Java related to IDMC development
IDMC Rest APIs
IDMC CI/D using Source control integration (Git), use of Azure DevOps or GitHub for automation, IDMC rest APIs for checkin/out and pull code, code promotion flow
Informatica transformation language
XQuery functions and usage of them in IDMC
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Proficient in stakeholder management and communication.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Ability to speak and write English.
Analytical ability to diagnose problems and to develop practical solutions.
Good communication skills, both interpersonal and presentation.
Able to interact with and influence individuals.
Able to work effectively in a matrix organization across geographies and cultures.
Experience Required:
Minimum of 10 years of experience in MDM, with a focus on Informatica IDMC
Proven experience leading Informatica MDM projects
Understanding of the Haleon Quality System and validation requirements, policies, procedures, and standards
