Role Purpose
The IDMC Data Governance Senior Technical Analyst is a key member of the Enterprise Data Management (EDM) team, responsible for the design, implementation, and operation of Data Governance solutions within Informatica Cloud (IDMC).
This role partners closely with Data Governance specialists, business stakeholders, and technical teams to deliver robust governance capabilities, including business glossary, lineage, and workflow management. The Senior Technical Analyst provides technical leadership across platform configuration, service operations, and continuous improvement, ensuring data governance solutions are scalable, reliable, and aligned to business and regulatory requirements
Key responsibilities:
Data Governance Strategy & Implementation
Lead the technical design, implementation, and maintenance of Data Governance solutions using Informatica Cloud (IDMC).
Configure and manage core governance capabilities, including:
Business Glossary
Data Lineage
Governance workflows and approvals
Define and own IDMC Data Governance design standards, patterns, and best practices, ensuring consistency across implementations.
Work with cross‑functional teams to ensure Data Governance capabilities are fully integrated within the wider IDMC platform and enterprise data landscape.
Service Management & Operations
Oversee day‑to‑day operation of IDMC Data Governance services, ensuring availability, performance, and stability.
Apply ITIL best practices across incident, problem, and change management.
Act as a senior technical escalation point for Data Governance‑related issues.
Stakeholder Engagement
Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand governance needs and ensure solutions align with business objectives.
Serve as the primary technical point of contact for Data Governance inquiries, issues, and enhancements.
Communicate clearly with stakeholders regarding governance capabilities, impacts, and roadmap considerations.
Continuous Improvement
Identify opportunities to enhance Data Governance processes, tooling, and automation.
Stay current with Informatica IDMC Data Governance enhancements, industry trends, and best practices.
Contribute to the ongoing maturity of enterprise Data Governance capabilities
Qualifications & Skills:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
Informatica Cloud (IDMC) DATA GOVERNANCE Certification
ITIL Certification.
Strong understanding of DATA GOVERNANCE & DATA Profiling principles and best practices.
Integration & Orchestration
CDI (Cloud data integration) Building high performance ingress/egress jobs using Informatica connections with source and target systems
CAI (Cloud application integration) Building real time, event driven integrations using APIs (REST/SOAP)
Proficiency in Python, SQL and Java related to IDMC development
IDMC Rest APIs
IDMC CI/D using Source control integration (Git), use of Azure DevOps or GitHub for automation, IDMC rest APIs for checkin/out and pull code, code promotion flow
Informatica transformation language
XQuery functions and usage of them in IDMC
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Proficient in stakeholder management and communication.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Ability to speak and write English.
Analytical ability to diagnose problems and to develop practical solutions.
Good communication skills, both interpersonal and presentation.
Able to interact with and influence individuals.
Able to work effectively in a matrix organization across geographies and cultures.
Experience Required:
Minimum of 10 years of experience in Data Governance, with a focus on Informatica Cloud (IDMC).
Proven experience leading DATA GOVERNANCE projects
Understanding of the Haleon Quality System and validation requirements, policies, procedures, and standards
