The Director of Enterprise Operational Excellence will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Sandoz’s North American operations. This leader will drive enterprise-wide process optimization and implement effective governance models that enable strategic decision-making and operational discipline. By simplifying operations and accelerating execution, the role will foster cross-functional collaboration and empower teams to embrace agile, data-driven practices. Through a commitment to continuous improvement, this position will deliver measurable impact, improving capital efficiency and margin performance, and help Sandoz remain at the forefront of accessible, high-quality healthcare.Reporting directly to the VP of Strategy & Growth, North America, this role will lead high-impact initiatives and special projects aligned with enterprise priorities, working closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.

Position Location:
This position will be located at the Princeton, NJ US Headquarters site.
Our Sandoz flexible hybrid working approach allows US office-based employees to work up to 50% of their monthly workday remotely. This role will not have the ability to be located remotely. Preference will be given to local candidates not requiring relocation.

Major accountabilities / Your Key Responsibilities:
Enterprise Operational Transformation & Governance
Lead enterprise-wide assessments and enhancements of internal processes across the North America value chain as well as initiatives to simplify and streamline operations across functions, reducing complexity and improving execution.
Architect and implement governance models that enable strategic decision-making, operational discipline, and compliance across the organization.
Challenge legacy processes and structures to unlock speed, agility, scalability, and innovation, while embedding lean, data-driven methodologies.
Oversee complex process improvement projects, ensuring strategic alignment, timely execution, and sustainable implementation.
Lead change enablement efforts by designing adoption strategies, supporting enterprise training, and embedding new tools and practices into daily operations.
Strategic Project Leadership
Manage and execute high-priority, cross-functional projects aligned with company strategy and goals, including cost optimization, digital enablement, data transparency, and growth acceleration.
Performance & Efficiency Impact
Deliver tangible improvements in capital efficiency, margin expansion, and resource productivity.
Change Leadership
Act as a catalyst for cultural transformation, through Influencing and inspiring teams across all levels to embrace new ways of working and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in business or finance
MBA or advanced degree (preferred)
Work Experience and desirable requirements:
10+ years of experience in operational excellence, strategy, or transformation roles, preferably in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, or life sciences.
Proven success in leading enterprise-wide initiatives with measurable financial and operational impact.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence across a matrixed organization.
Experience with Project Management, Lean Six Sigma, Agile, or other continuous improvement frameworks.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $185,500 – $344,500 USD/year; however, while salary ranges are effective from 1/1/25 through 12/31/25, fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges during this period. Further, final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to geographical location, experience level, knowledge, skills and abilities. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
On September 30, 2021, Sandoz entered into a 5-year Corporate Integrity Agreement. Certain positions will have responsibilities to support the execution and adherence to CIA obligations, CIA-related deliverables, and any relevant audit, monitoring or Independent Review Organization (IRO) remediation.
