About the role
The MEA Operating Unit (OU) Panadol and Advil Marketing Lead role is responsible for the localisation of Haleon’s Panadol and Advil’s strategy, programme, execution and innovation to drive and enable growth within MEA OU. Reporting to their MEA OU OTC and Wellness Category Lead and working closely with both the Panadol and Advil’s Global Brand Leads and in-market activation teams, the MEA OU OTC Marketing Leads and Panadol and Advil Brand Leads assumes a critical role for brand performance.
Role Responsibilities
- Accountable for market share, sales and profit growth for the assigned Global Brand (portfolio); monitors market performance, track Global Brand KPIs within the OU, analyses variances, and implements corrective actions as needed;
- Translate Global Brand strategy at OU level, define localisation approach to global campaigns and brand assets to resonate with local market nuances while maintaining core brand identity;
- Develop OU brand plan aligned to category strategy: Plan, execute, and evaluate OU level and local marketing activations across consumer and trade, including media plan development, creative adaptation, consumer campaigns, and new product launches, aligned to approved marketing strategies;
- Maintain close connection with in-market activation team (ensuring the initiatives align with global standards and local objectives) to drive end-to-end brand activation: Pricing/promo, media, retail execution & digital commerce, NPD.;
- Gather and funnel OU-specific insights and learnings to contribute to the evolution of the Global Brand strategy;
- Drive local digital insights and deliver locally relevant digital campaigns to win in digital channels.
- Manage, coach and mentor marketing managers, fostering their professional growth and development into future brand marketing leaders.
Why you?
Basic Qualifications:
Proven track record of leading high-impact OTC brands across complex and dynamic markets, with deep expertise in brand growth, portfolio strategy, and commercial acceleration.
* Strong strategic marketing foundation combined with sharp business acumen and the ability to translate insights into measurable market performance.
* Extensive experience within the OTC / Consumer Healthcare industry is essential, ideally across Middle East, Africa, and/or emerging markets.
* Demonstrated ability to build and scale brands in highly competitive environments through innovative consumer-centric strategies and flawless execution.
* Gravitas and executive presence to influence senior stakeholders, shape strategic direction, and lead cross-functional collaboration at regional and global levels.
* Strong understanding of consumer behavior, channel dynamics, and healthcare market trends, with the ability to anticipate shifts and unlock growth opportunities.
* Experience managing complex, multi-country portfolios with full accountability for brand performance, P&L impact, and sustainable business growth.
* Exceptional leadership capabilities with a proven ability to inspire high-performing teams, foster agility, and drive a culture of accountability and excellence.
* Ability to operate successfully in matrix organizations and navigate ambiguity with resilience, speed, and strategic clarity.
* Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong bias for action, ownership mentality, and passion for transforming brands into category leaders.
* Advanced degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics, or related field preferred*15+ years of progressive experience in Marketing, OTC / Consumer Healthcare, Brand Management, or Commercial Leadership roles, including significant exposure to regional or global responsibilities
