The Position
Principle Roles & Responsibilities / Accountabilities
- Support project management for government engagement programs and flagship events in Shanghai and beyond;
- Provide desktop research support to policy monitoring and analysis, as well as various document drafting for internal and external purposes;
- Assist Vice President of Corporate Affairs & Communications in general and project management, and various other tasks;
- Provide administrative support to vendor and contract management, procurement and other internal procedures where needed;
- Act as liaison point of contact for various internal cooperation mechanisms.
- Maintain and explore constructive relations/dialogue with central and local government authorities
- Leverage government and policy support to help address business bottlenecks/issues
- Track and analyze macro and industry policies for internal sharing and alignment on external approaches
- Support hosting global visitors and related internal/external engagement in China or Basel
- Lead specfic projects that count on existing or future policies to generate tangible benefits/achievements for Roche
Education/Qualifications
- Minimum bachelor’s degree;
- Past experience in either government or MNC, or with a leading pharma/healthcare company is a plus
- A minimum of 10-year work experience in government, public policy, advocacy, and in the pharmaceutical industry or related areas
- Education in public administration, political science, international relations, or related disciplines
- Understanding of and experience with the biopharma industry is a must
