The Position

Are you a strategic leader who can bridge the gap between business vision and technology innovation?

We are seeking a visionary Head of Business Partnering, DIA China, to be more than just a liaison—to be a catalyst for our Digital, Innovation, and Analytics (DIA) transformation in China. This is not a traditional IT management role; it is a strategic leadership position designed for a forward-thinker who can shape the future of our healthcare ecosystem in one of the world's most dynamic markets.

In this pivotal role, you will act as the primary strategic conduit between our China business functions (commercial, affiliate, site operations) and the global RDT (Research & Development Technology) organization. You will ensure that our technology investments are not just aligned with, but are actively driving, our business outcomes. As a trusted advisor to senior leadership, you will own the technology strategy, orchestrate cross-functional delivery, and cultivate a culture of high performance and relentless innovation.

Why Join Us?

This is your opportunity to make a tangible impact on the Chinese market. You will:

  • Shape the Future: Define and execute the technology roadmap that directly enables the commercial success of our RD China market.

  • Drive Patient & Customer Impact: Translate unique local customer and patient experience needs into omnichannel strategies that drive satisfaction and loyalty.

  • Navigate a Complex Landscape: Ensure our products and strategies are perfectly aligned with China's specific data privacy and security requirements, turning compliance into a competitive advantage.

  • Lead with Influence: Partner with senior stakeholders to co-create innovative capabilities that redefine our healthcare ecosystem.

What You’ll Do

1. Be a Strategic Partner & Trusted Advisor

  • Forge deep, trusted relationships with business leaders to deeply understand their goals and co-create aligned RDT strategies.

  • Partner closely with senior stakeholders to define the strategic direction, shaping the digital roadmap and portfolio for China.

  • Champion the business's needs within the global RDT organization, while effectively translating complex IT capabilities into clear business value for local stakeholders.

  • Bring thought leadership to the table, proactively identifying and shaping innovative solutions that drive significant impact.

2. Own Delivery & Drive Value

  • Take end-to-end accountability for the technology project portfolio, overseeing planning, prioritization, and execution to ensure all initiatives meet business objectives on time and within budget.

  • Rigorously manage project scope, proactively escalate risks, and ensure the highest quality standards are met.

  • Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure every technology investment delivers tangible business value.

  • Champion the adoption of new solutions across the market, ensuring that value is not just created, but realized.

3. Inspire People & Foster a Culture of Excellence

  • Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing, multidisciplinary team. Foster an environment where innovation thrives, professional growth is encouraged, and teamwork is paramount.

  • Provide clear direction, coaching, and performance management to help each team member reach their full potential.

  • Collaborate effectively with both internal and external partners, sharing insights and aligning strategies to maximize the impact of our technology investments.

Who You Are

  • A Proven Leader: You bring 10+ years of leadership experience with a proven ability to influence senior stakeholders, build consensus, and drive decision-making across all levels of a matrixed organization.

  • A Strategic Thinker: You possess a problem-solving mindset and can effortlessly balance short-term needs with long-term strategic objectives. You don't just execute strategy; you help create it.

  • A Business-Savvy Technologist: You have deep experience in IT strategic planning, business relationship management, and program delivery. You understand enterprise architecture, agile methodologies, and how emerging technologies can be applied to solve real business problems.

  • An Exceptional Communicator: You have outstanding communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills. You can translate complex technical challenges into clear business terms and vice versa, making you an effective bridge between worlds.

  • An Inspiring People Manager: You have strong experience directing multidisciplinary teams and third-party vendors, with a passion for nurturing talent and building a culture of high performance.

Your Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. An advanced degree (e.g., MBA, Master’s in Technology Management) is highly preferred.

  • Proficiency in IT service management (ITSM) and project management frameworks (e.g., ITIL, PMP, SAFe/Agile) is required.
