Job Description
As Manager MS&T Biologics, you will lead a team of scientists and technical experts responsible for the lifecycle management of Galderma’s biologics manufacturing processes. In this highly visible leadership role, you will combine scientific expertise, operational leadership, and strategic thinking to support commercial manufacturing and drive the future of biologics manufacturing at Galderma.
You will work cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Regulatory Affairs, and global stakeholders to ensure technical excellence, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement across the product lifecycle. In parallel, you will play a key role in developing technical capabilities and building a high-performing team within the MS&T organization.
Key Responsibilities
As Manager MS&T Biologics, you will provide leadership and technical oversight for biologics drug substance and drug product manufacturing processes, including fermentation, purification, formulation, aseptic processing and filling where applicable.
You will lead your team in supporting commercial manufacturing operations, troubleshooting complex technical challenges, investigating deviations, and resolving process performance issues.
You will drive lifecycle management activities including process validation, continuous process verification (CPV), process trending, process optimization, robustness improvements, technology transfers, scale-up activities, and manufacturing process changes.
You will oversee validation strategies and qualification activities while ensuring compliance with global regulatory requirements including EU GMP, FDA expectations, and ICH guidelines.
As a people leader, you will build, develop, and coach a high-performing team while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and scientific excellence.
You will also act as a key cross-functional partner, facilitating alignment across Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Regulatory Affairs, and Supply Chain while contributing to site and global MS&T strategies.
Key Requirements & Qualifications
You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree or PhD in Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related discipline. Combined with your academic background, you bring significant experience from the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or biologics manufacturing industry, including leadership responsibilities within technical operations, manufacturing science, process development, or MS&T organizations.
To succeed in this role, you have a deep understanding of biologics manufacturing processes and experience supporting commercial manufacturing operations in regulated environments. You are comfortable making decisions in complex situations, leading technical investigations, and influencing stakeholders across multiple functions and organizational levels.
We are particularly interested in candidates who bring:
• Strong experience in biologics manufacturing, including drug substance and/or drug product processes.
• Proven leadership experience, including coaching, developing, and leading technical teams.
• Solid knowledge of GMP-regulated manufacturing environments and product lifecycle management.
• Experience with aseptic manufacturing, process validation, technology transfer, scale-up, and continuous process verification.
• Strong expertise in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and technical problem-solving.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• The ability to drive change, influence decisions, and lead cross-functional initiatives.
• Fluency in English and Swedish.
Experience within aseptic manufacturing, sterile production, toxins, or advanced biologics manufacturing technologies will be considered highly advantageous.
