Responsibilities:

  • China Operating Strategy Owner – interfacing with Planning center
  • Longer term business planning what if analysis and scenario planning
  • High level (eg. category) balancing of sales, production and inventory in line with latest business plans (exception based with the actual work carried out by PSC).
  • Manage, own and transform end-to-end inventory
  • Manage global strategic transformational projects
  • Role may include the following: SKU Optimization process and assessment; Longer term capacity master planning (eg. Beyond 18month horizon); Lead QSC input in Strategic Revenue Management; Directs and/or executes category S&OP health assessment; Acts as an interface between IPM and gets quality input on scenario planning at each Stage gate

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or a related discipline; MBA or advanced business qualification preferred.
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in Supply Chain, S&OP / Integrated Business Planning (IBP), or Business Planning roles within FMCG, Consumer Health, or Pharmaceutical industries.
  • Proven experience leading end‑to‑end S&OP / IBP processes in a complex, fast‑moving, and matrixed organization.
  • Strong exposure to China market dynamics/APAC, including demand volatility, rapid portfolio changes, and cross‑functional business planning.
  • Demonstrated experience in long‑range planning, scenario modeling, and strategic capacity planning (18+ month horizon).
  • Track record of leading or contributing to enterprise-wide transformation programs, systems implementation, or process standardization initiatives.
  • Experience interfacing with senior leadership and influencing decision‑making at category, business unit, and regional levels.

Business & Strategic Acumen skills

  • Strong ability to translate business strategy into integrated operating plans, aligning demand, supply, inventory, capacity, and financial outcomes.
  • Deep understanding of APAC/ China Operating Strategy and its linkage to long‑term business priorities, growth initiatives, and portfolio choices.
  • Skilled in scenario planning, what‑if analysis, and risk/opportunity assessment, enabling informed decision‑making under uncertainty.
  • Demonstrates enterprise thinking—balancing category, brand, and organizational priorities rather than optimizing siloed outcomes.
  • Ability to anticipate downstream impacts of commercial, innovation, and supply decisions on service, cost, cash, and execution risk.
  • Strong external orientation—aware of market trends, regulatory dynamics, and competitive pressures shaping China supply chains.

Financial Acumen

  • Solid understanding of financial drivers across the P&L, including COGS, inventory, cost‑to‑serve, and margin trade‑offs.
  • Ability to link S&OP decisions to financial outcomes such as revenue realization, inventory turns, cash flow, and cost efficiency.
  • Experience partnering closely with Finance to ensure alignment between business plans, financial commitments, and S&OP outputs.
  • Skilled in evaluating investment trade‑offs, productivity opportunities, and loss elimination initiatives enabled through better planning.
  • Comfortable challenging assumptions and proposals using both financial and operational logic.
